  • Casa plurifamiliare "Memory", semplice. Nella frazione Trift, a 750 m dal centro di Zermatt, posizione tranquilla, soleggiata sul pendio. Nella casa: riscaldamento centralizzato, lavatrice, asciugatrice (in comune, extra). Sentiero ripido (60 scalini) fino alla casa. Supermercato 700 m, ristorante 300 m, panetteria 400 m, 15 minuti a piedi dal centro, fermata bus "Bahnhof" 750 m, stazione ferroviaria "Bahnhof Zermatt" 750 m. Funivia 750 m, noleggio sci 700 m, fermata ski bus 750 m, scuola di sci, scuola di sci per bambini 450 m. Prego notare: no ascensore. I taxi non possono fermarsi di fronte alla casa.

The listing advertises the property as being “1 minute walk from Zermatt-Matterhorn Ski Paradise” and the Furi ski area, which strongly suggests convenient access for skiing. Based on this description, we booked the property for our family ski trip.However, the actual access to the property was completely different from what was implied in the listing and created a very difficult and unsafe situation for our family.We arrived as a family of five with three children and seven large pieces of luggage, including ski equipment. Because taxis are not able to drop guests at the property, we were forced to walk a very steep uphill path for a long distance while dragging heavy luggage. The path was icy and slippery, and members of our family slipped and fell while trying to carry bags and ski equipment.At no point before the final payment were we informed that:Taxis cannot access the propertyGuests must walk a significant distance uphill with luggageThe route can be icy and unsafe in winterDaily skiing would require walking the same steep path in ski boots while carrying skisHad this been clearly disclosed, we would not have booked this accommodation, especially with children and ski gear.

We enjoyed the beautiful view and the beds were comfortable. I didn't like that after I booked it, I saw all of the extra fees for sheets and towels per person, big cleaning charge separate from linen charge (but I was required to put out the trash down the hill & wash all of the dishes and put them away), and per person tax to be collected, plus check in is not convenient. We needed to walk to the rental agency to pick up the key for our first night, and again return the next day to sign paperwork during certain hours. The blinds were very difficult to close, so the first night we didn't sleep well because there is a large bright light right outside the bedroom window. The company came and shut them the next day upon our request, and we never opened them again. There is an elevator to take you much of the hike up, but this owner does not provide access to it for renters. Note that taxis cannot drive you up the big hill. It is a very steep hike up that I would not want to do in the winter, but we were fine with it for summer. Note the owner does not provide wifi but there are places to catch free wifi in town.

Más que aceptable, salvo el acceso

El problema principal es el largo camino con cuesta incluida y con maletas arrastras, que hay que hacer a pie, ante la imposibilidad de llegar de otro modo al apartamento. Las vistas compensan en parte, el esfuerzo. No apto para abuelos.

Anständige Wohnung, aber problematisches Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis

Die Wohnung liegt schön über der Stadt und in genügend Abstand vom Trubel der Hauptstraße, dafür sollte man gern in Kauf nehmen, dass man zu ihr hoch laufen muss. Guter Blick aus den Fenstern und vom Balkon Außerdem führt hinter dem Haus ein wunderbarer Wanderweg hoch in ein Tal hinein zu einer Pension Edelweiß nach 40 Minuten Aufstieg und zu einem Hotel Trift nach einer weiteren guten Stunde, wenn man gut zu Fuß ist, sollte man das unbedingt machen , und dann weiter vier Stunden nach Staffel, oben dann immer mit wunderbarem Blick auf seine Majestät Herrn Matterhorn. Die Einrichtung der Wohnung ist nicht mehr die jüngste, hier und da müsste etwas ausgetauscht werden, es sollte auch kein alter Fernsehapparat auf dem Balkon gelagert werden. Die Wohnung ist aber praktisch und funktional ausgestattet, hat auch einen schönen Blick, dass man das Matterhorn nicht sieht macht nichts, man kann den Berg ja ansonsten von überall bewundern. Zwei Punkte, die nicht gehen und warum ich diese Bewertung schreibe: Es gibt zwar ein WiFi, es wird aber für die Gäste nicht freigestellt. Und: Wir hatten für Handtücher, Bettwäsche und Endreinigung der Wohnung für zwei Erwachsene und drei Kinder 300 Franken zusätzlich zum Mietpreis zu bezahlen, das ist etwas lächerlich und trieb die Gesamtunterbringungskosten für vier Tage um ein Drittel auf 1000 Franken. Das war für uns der Wermutstropfen in diesem ansonsten spektakulären schweizerischen Paradies.
