“Morris, Susie and their family were so welcoming and really looked after us. The location is something else and you can just sit and watch the volcano and listen to it rumble for hours. Our bungalow was basic but comfortable, and it was nice to be able to switch off for a couple of days and experience the local village life. “We absolutely loved out stay here. We actually ended up having the whole place to ourselves, since it was low season. Not the fanciest place in the world, but for the price--exactly what we were looking for. The beach is magnificent and quite desolate. The bed was made and room was tidied up everyday, and the food was absolutely delish (fresh seafood, curries, etc.). Stellah was an amazing hostess. On our last night, she prepared a buffet dinner for 2, and it was WAY more food than we could eat.”

“Lovely view of the volcano from the bed, watching the plume puffs during the day and the glow at night, as well as hearing the rumbling. Quite isolated, but the hosts provide all the transport you need, for a fee, which ended up being about twice the cost of the accommodation booked online, including to and from the airport. Totally reasonable all told, but good to know ahead of time. ”
