“Upon checking in, we found the hotel undergoing a co.plete renovation. Most of the main lobby closed off and the bar moved to the restaurant. The elevators were also being renovated and taken out of service 1 or 2 at a time out of the 3. I would have expected Expedia to have some type of construction notice when booking. I always stay at the Southbank when in Jacksonville, but this had to be the most disappointing visit EVER!!! Call the hotel beforehand to confirm status of renovation to avoid...

“Wonderful hotel, comfortable beds. Breakfast was beyond basic- I would recommend to skip and go elsewhere for breakfast. All food was previously frozen packaged from a basic shop. Nothing was in house cooked in the morning

“The staff is amazing and friendly. This is our 4th stay. Always clean. Nice bar/mini food options located in lobby. The pool was clean and great for the kids. The beds were comfy and room was cool and clean. Highly recommend. Will definetly stay again.”

“Appears to be a newer development. Clean and location felt very safe. However, housekeeping wasn't great as left one tissue in the kleenex box and there was silverware in the dishwasher, probably from the last guest. The iron leaked water.
