“Presentation is everything! The hotel grounds were not clean. Walking in the Laquinta rug was dirty, the luggage cart was raggedy, and the smell was terrible. It’s an old smell throughout the place. The arrows going up and down were broken/missing on the elevator . Ice was only available on the 3rd floor, broken on the other floors. The hallway rugs were dirty, the hallways were dark! “I usually don’t write hotel reviews unless a place is either so bad it deserves a documentary… or so good it makes me question my actual home. 😂
This time around, the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Jacksonville Blount Island absolutely delivered.
From the second I walked in, the presentation and customer service were flawless. The lobby was clean, the staff was friendly, and nobody looked at me like I was inconveniencing them by existing. That alone deserves applause these days. 👏

“very clean with wonderful ocean front room and great service. Parking fee charged but no valet and beach /pool towels have to be signed out and are threadbare. There are also no beach chairs/umbrellas provided by hotel- they must be e rented from a concession and cannot be charged to your room. Minor inconveniences but surprising for a beachfront hotel. Overall, a nice stay”
