“5 night stay”

Lovely hotel had a deluxe room on 5th Floor (520) the room wasn't small but we didn't really feel it was luxurious as we were expecting. have stayed a few leading Hotels, in fact i wasn't sure if we were in a deluxe room at all. It wasn't bad, it was comfortable spotless, it just wasn't amazing!! Small things like the air con is decommissioned from October, it was well in to the early 20's when we were there and would have love tit to have been available. the heating was on and couldn't turn it off unless you called maintenance. The made cleaned the room very well in fact to well, everything in the bathroom moved after we set out our personal things how we liked them, also the phone chargers etc constantly being unplugged small things but annoying!! The view from our room wasn't great (Car park below) but plenty of trees etc beyond. Coming from the UK and with the exchange rate that it was we didn't indulge in any extras, mini bar or bar etc as the prices at the hotel would have made it crazy to purchase. I know every one has said what a god send the minibus is .... They are right very useful and saves £10. taxi fare every time you want to get to the spanish steps and metro. Concierge really helpful when a Metro machine gulped up a EUR50 note of ours!! Breakfast very nice! Would have loved an ipod docking station in the hotel room Overall it was a pleasant stay in a friendly well run Hotel.

we bought the DK eyewitness travel guide was great for its walking tours making sure you didnt miss anything. Rome has so much to offer in both its busy areas as well as getting away to its quieter suburbs.

Escursioni

Metro and Busses and trams are good but we lost a EUR 50 note in a machine at a tram stop no tickets or returned money ... no one to help on site. Remember also that these machines only give you EUR2 in change regardless what you put into the machine it isnt clear when you put Notes in that this is the case.

“Luxury hotel in a quiet area of Rome”

This is a luxury hotel in a quiet area of Rome but with the added advantage of a half hourly courtesy shuttle into the city centre. Great breakfasts and excellent, friendly staff. We would definitely go back.

“Great hotel, would go back”

Very friendly helpful staff, excellent facilities,quiet location, a little out of town, but this is compensated for by there courtesy car which travels to the Spanish steps and back every 30mins. All day until 10.30pm

“Fantastic Hotel”

Loved our short break at this fantastic hotel in Rome, the staff could not have been more helpful or friendly and bent over backwards to to give us a wonderful holiday. The pool area is lovely and extremely well run, with complimentary bottles of water given to us at our sun-loungers. The charming breakfast room and wonderful food was a bonus, with even the offer of prosecco to accompany our late and lazy breakfasts. The hotel's Villa Borghese location offers the best of both worlds; easy access to the bustling centre with all its sights, yet a peaceful retreat upon your return. When next in Rome I plan to stay here again, counting the days!!

“Excellent hotel, no problem with location due to excellent shuttle bus run by hotel.”

We chose the Aldrovandi as we wanted a swimming pool. It is not central but the hotel offers an excellent shuttle mini bus that runs every half hour all day, last one 10.45pm. The staff were very helpful and polite. The rooms were immaculately kept. The hotel generally wasm in good condition. The pool service ie towels and sunbeds was exceptional. The only downside of this hotel is the cost of the breakfast if not included in your package. Thankfully ours was included. The drinks are also prohibitively expensive. Not even the obviously wealthy guests were using the bar to any degree. We would definitely go back to this hotel if we visit Rome again.

“Wonderful hotel.”

This is our twelve visit to the Aldrovandi. Friendly and helpful staff.It is great to have a swimming pool in the summer. Only negative the breakfast is expensive and limited if not included in your rate.

Fantastic recent stay in Rome at this 5-star hotel If you can afford the food and getting around then don't even consider anywhere else with a lovely pool and only short distance to the centre of Rome this is eht perfect getaway

“Lived up to expectations”

A superb hotel, very classy with excellent staff and service. The breakfast was very high quality with again, excellent service. Pool very nice but limited space around it so you may struggle to get a sunbed if returning in the late afternoon from sight seeing. We used the shuttle service to the Spanish Steps which was always punctual and reliable, but book early to get the limited spaces. The location was fine for us with the shuttle service delivering you quickly into central Rome and easy reach to all the major attractions. The Hotel had a very sophisticated feel about it and was perfect for a romantic break. Be prepared for the bar and pool bar resteraunt prices which put us off and instead we savoured the atmosphere strolling arounf Rome each night opting to eat out. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a beautiful and romantic hotel in a quite location with excellent service and staff who showed attention to their customers., Top notch.
