“Amazing Experience!”

Delta actually exceeding our expectations. Room was clean, comfortable. Bed and pillows were out of this world comfortable. Shower pressure the best I've ever experienced. Restaurant had good food and reasonable prices and it was within walking distance to downtown and a reasonable driving distance to alot of historical attractions. Reasonable drive from the airport as well.

You have to make it out to Signal Hill, downtown St. John's. It's well worth the short drive out to Cape Spear, the most easterly point in North America. And of course George St. Cool little cobble stone road with 70 bars. During the George St. Festival, twice a year, they shut down the street to road traffice.

“Great location with a beautiful view of St. John's Harbour”

The hotel was very nice and the staff were wonderful. The receptionist said expedia booked a King but I was pretty sure I booked two queens. After a little searching, they were able to find us a room with two queens. The only difficulty we had was the underground parking. There was very little signage to direct you to the lobby of the hotel. The breakfast buffet was very nice and the location was great.

We visited both Signal Hill and Cape Spear. Both are very beautiflul. I would recommend wearing exercise clothes because both have lots of trails to walk and climb.

Shopping

We made two trips to the Avalon Mall and still didn't manage to get through it all. We found some good buys and enjoyed ourselves very much. We didn't get to shop downtown St. John's but I did in the past and I would also recommend checking it out.

“It is ok. I will be back.”

The room is a little small not I expected. I think they have to be careful, when I check in they gave me the room someone still check in not check out yet. I did call the front desk they gave me a room very quickly, the service was very good. After 8:00 pm no house keeping to service.I stayed at many hotels I never had that happened. otherwise Still good. I will go back again.

“Delta”

The hotel is a little tired and now has competition that would "help" Was there for a conference and while it had the facilities to deal with the numbers the atmosphers was a little drab. Banquet food was only adequate

“Close to George St”

Had a king bed non smoking room on top floor over looking the harbour. Great view, very nice hotel but very pricey.

“Good but expensive”

Overall, a pleasant place to stay. Rooms were spacious and well equipped though I wish these hotels would not use scented cleaners/air fresheners. Service was efficient and pleasant. Food was good and, for the most part, well presented though not exceptional. Room service was on time and complete. Large parking garage is convenient and valet parking is available if you choose. We would not ordinarily have chosen this hotel as it is a bit expensive, but accommodation and service generally justified cost of rooms. Hotel rooms are often scarce in St. John's and we stayed at this Delta because it was actually the only hotel with rooms still available.

I will certainly pass on your comments regarding the use of scented cleaners to our housekeeping department for review as the low tolerance for scents in general has become very common. Rooms are indeed scarce in St. John's at certain times of year and therefore can be priced accordingly. “If it was in any other city....”

Honestly I thought the Delta was OK. It's location is close to but not right next to the convention center. For conferences, getting over to the conference center was a bit of a pain (using all the internal walk-ways) unless you can walk outside. The decor of the lobby and bar was clean, but drab; very 1980's looking. I would not call this place "hip" or "stylish." The rooms were of decent size, but not overly impressive. I travel a lot, and I found this hotel would be ranked somewhere in the middle of the pack. If this hotel was in any other city with lots of choices, I would probably stay somewhere else. I give it a solid 3 stars out of five.
