“This is a beautiful, small hotel in a rural part of Cambodia. My suite had a large balcony and Mekong view.
All the food i had there was excellent and freshly prepared.
Staff were always helpful but occasionally difficult to find
Not many foreign tourists in this area so dont expect English to be other than basic apart from what i took to be the hotel manager.

“This hotel oozes old colonial charm. There are lovely touches in some of the rooms with old photos etc which add to the ambience. Overall facilities are very good but we had a few minor niggles such as the shower being just ok (water not as hot as we'd like) & tv not working. The free bikes are a lovely touch & we enjoyed our ride through the local countryside.
One issue though is that it seemed short-staffed. Frequently there was no-one at Reception or around to ask. Also whilst some staff...

“This is a very nice hotel in the middle of an island which is very accessible by ferry. The staff is very helpful and welcoming. Would have liked to stay a few extra days. The website does not have the correct spelling of this place, It needs to be corrected so people can find it without difficulty.”

After a 6hr bus ride from Phnom Penh, we were greeted with welcome drinks and were offered to have our leftover take-away we carried with us from the night before, reheated. Our reheated meal was kindly brought to our room (no microwave in the room).
The staff are all kind and courteous, and ensured all our needs were met during our stay. The resort is out of town, but the staff will organize a tuk tuk for $3USD.
The menu is limited for vegetarians, but the chef is modified the menu to...

“Banlung is a dusty provincial capital without much going for it other than gem mines in the surrounding area. One diamond in the rough, however, was the Yeak Loam hotel. The clean, modern room paled by comparison to the wonderful, helpful staff. I hope to visit Banlung again, and when i do, ill stay at Yeak Loam!”

“Cette GuestHouse est tenu par un couple Suisse/Cambodgien d’une originalité et d’une gentillesse rare. Nous avons énormément apprécié l’accueil et les anecdotes uniques de ce couple au parcours incroyable et d’une grand générosité.
Seul regret : ne pas être rester assez longtemps ”

“Le lieu est magique même s’il est relativement loin de Kampong Chan (compter 30 min et 10$ en Tuk Tuk).
Le personnel est très avenant. Le côté eco responsable est aussi très présent puisque le personnel est soit des orphelins soit des personnes en difficultés.
Le seul problème est qu’il n’y a pas de clim…
