"We stayed in a basic room with a lake view. Bed could have done with being less firm and additional pillows would have been an advantage to comfort. Although rooms looked a bit dated, this was acceptable for a building from the late 18th century. Air conditioning appeared to be an option (no remote control available in room). Great location and onsite restaurant in conservatory area, overlooking the lake. Reception and staff were friendly and approachable. Good restaurants and bars in the local...

Could not find fault with the room or service and the free tea,coffee,cake, croissants in reception was very nice although personally I missed having a kettle in the room. Food availablity and quality good at the adjacent restaurant. "

"The check in was in the middle of the restaurant area and very hard to find. I stayed 4 nights and it was on the 3rd day I could walk into the right door and find the lift without too much trouble. There is no signage for the front door, no direction to the reception desk, and no tourist information. I would not recommend this as my choice to stay in Locarno."
