“Had a wonderful 10 night stay at Shantara. We loved being so close to Macrossan st and the beach, while the pool was an amazing end to each day. The Hotel was peaceful, beautiful and quiet. As is normal for Far North Queensland, there is not everyday cleaning service but we don’t use that anywhere anyway. Plenty of parking, but if you didn’t bring a car everything is walking distance with shuttle bus options for longer journeys. The only black mark of the stay were our neighbours on the pool...

“In realtà è una via di mezzo tra hotel e camere in quanto il servizio nelle stanze e cambio asciugamani è assicurato solo ogni 3-4 giorni. Sono stato tre notti e non c'è stato alcun servizio in stanza. La stanza assegnata, pur essendo clasificatanon fumatori, aveva un evidente odore di fumo, Ho ottenuto facilmente la sua sostituzione con una adeguata. Per il resto tutto secondo le aspettative.”

“We were disappointed that we didn't get the room that we paid for - it did not match the advertised pictures and was smaller than advertised. The pools and spas were too cold to swim in and one of the spas was not working. The room was very dark and a big wall blocked our view. There was not enough cutlery for 2 people and there was no sink to wash it in. The blinds were stained and the pools had stains and chipped tiles. It was in need of a renovation and a good clean.”

“Lovely clean apartment in a great location.Had everything we needed. We stayed in apartment number one downstairs from the swimming pool. Actually an advantage because we were very close to the underground car park. So very easy to access for going in and out. Lovely swimming pool and just the right temperature. Absolutely no complaints. Staff were lovely too.”
