“Clean room, great bed”

“We visited San Antonio for my best friends Air Force graduation. I don’t care for the area. It’s near a cemetery & I love things that are spooky. So, that was cool. The area was not bad at all. Didn’t have any issues. The home is gorgeous, very spacious & was very clean. I love how each room was laid out. You have what you need to make your own meals. The beds are super comfortable. “We went as a group and reserved 3 King rooms, one of which was needing a pet friendly place. The room and area were clean. However, I didn't appreciate that we reserved 3 rooms and arrived at 3 pm (check in time) and were told they had to change our rooms from a Single King to doubles and the price would remain the same. I notified them that we did need at least 1 room on the 1st floor to assist our handicap friend. I would prefer to have had what I reserved. Also, there was no shampoo or enough...

“Showed up at 7 pm, looked like the property was closed. The office wasn’t staffed, walked around and couldn’t find anyone, there was only 1 car in the whole parking lot. I had to go to the hotel next door to inquire about another room, I told her I had a reservation next door but nobody was there, she then makes a phone call and says the office person will be back in a few minutes. “I was charged before we arrived even though I picked the pay at hotel option. I was also charged a $100 deposit which wasn’t disclosed to us beforehand. The room was supposed to be a suite with a sofa bed but was not. The first room they had us in reeked of cigarette smoke but the hotel is supposed to be non-smoking. We were moved to another room. “It was a comforting stay, didn't get to really use the whole house, but as long as it was comfortable it's good enough ”

“I knew I wouldn’t be getting much given the area and price I paid but this place was the worst. There was blood on the restroom door, food splatter on the walls, dirty toilet, and holes in the door. We spoke with the front desk who admitted being short staffed and not having good help for cleaning. When we asked about switching rooms she said they were all the same. We left and stayed somewhere else. There’s no telling what other hazards are there. ”
