“Great location very helpful staff and a fantastic bar with a lovely atmosphere even in january . One of the best breakfasts ive had in a hotel buffet style with very attentative staff. Rooms basic but clean with a comfy bed all you need really had a great 2 nights and would book again with no hesetation . Big thank you to all at the royal .”

“The Nutshell is a lovely little place, perfect for a stay in Whitby. Great location close to the harbour and town centre. Very clean and everything you need, hob, oven and all crockery and utensils. Nice feel to the place, makes you feel like you’re at the seaside. Great communication with the owners. Would 100% stay again. I was there for a week and had a wonderful time.”

“Absolutely lovely cottage, clean, cosy and in the perfect location. We have had a great time. Very steep stairs inside the property and a fairly short bed so if you are super tall with mobility problems it might be difficult but for us it was perfect.”

Plenty of information of the surrounding areas and clear instructions regarding bins, parking, check in and heating. Brilliant communication from the hosts before stay.
