“WHAT A FIND!!!! A real gem After being let down with our original booking, we found the Black Lion Hotel. It's set in a small, quiet village near the river. We had a superb evening meal, the pub was busy in both the bar and restaurant area all evening, which is always a good sign.... the food was superb, service was excellent The room we stayed in was quiet, clean, the bathroom was a good size, the bed was comfy. “A beautiful, well-maintained old (17C) building, complemented by the warm welcome from co-owner Elvira. We didn't meet her husband, but he was clearly hard at work in the kitchen. The breakfast was excellent, and the rooms comfortable. The rooms felt quite opulent, with large mirrors, stained glass, pretty décor, a well-stocked ensuite bathroom, and deep beds. We slept and ate well!”

“From the fantastic welcome to handing the room keys back our stay was excellent. The room and facilities felt spacious comfortable and immaculately clean. The added waters and fresh milk a lovely touch . The view from our room was stunning. The location was perfect for visiting the pier and promenade. The breakfast choices and pre order is fantastic. Our choices perfectly cooked and service was both caring and quick. I cannot recommend the Min Y Don enough. We will be back as soon as we can ....

“The property is ideally suited for events at Venue Cymru, which is next door. We had a family room, fronting the promenade with a fantastic view of the bay.The hotel was renovated last year and there were many thoughtful touches.
