“The rooms are really nice and clean comfortable beds. Loungers and towels and umbrellas are available at no extra charge at the beach. They are set up for you by the beach staff. Free parking. The Star Beach restaurant is a fun place to grab a quick bite on the beach. The pool is clean and well maintained. The only thing that I would like to mention is about the beach huts located next to the Star Beach restaurant. They are looking tired and could use a little updating. This was my second time...

“Do not stay at this hotel. The pictures online are old pictures when someone else owned it and it was nice! Does not look the same. Property is dirty. Shower drips all day no matter how hard you turn the old, rusted handles. Outdated and small bathroom. Tiny. Not very clean. There was a long piece of hair on my shower wall. TV didn't work, had them come in, she clicked her remote and left, it still didn't work. Ice machine stopped working on our third day there. Our first room was a corner...

“Convenient location with access to a great pool and the beach. Parking was available and was a little tight and challenging at one time. But staff were friendly and rooms were good.”

“I like the property location and access to beach and walkway. The staff was very nice. I didn’t like the variation in the rooms described as queen suites. I booked 2 queen suites, 1 for 1 night, the other for 2 nights. To my dismay the suite for one night was larger and cheaper and I was unable to switch the rooms. Also, the parking spaces are very tight, so beware.”

“We had difficulties that I won’t go into, but I will repeat- there is no front desk. Everything is done by tech. After 30 min of frustration we walked into our room - it was freezing. The AC was set at 61. (82 outside). We turned it off and had no need to turn it back on. The floors were cold. No rugs. No extra blankets. Very small room. The biggest plus was the mattress was exceptional. Wouldn’t stay there again or recommend it to a friend.”

“The Tropicana has been my go to hotel for many years, It's so close to the Boardwalk and I've never had a problem. Easy to book reservations on the Internet and the front desk/receptionist is always pleasant to deal with. There have been many updates to rooms over the years. One minor suggestion is to put a small shelf in the shower. Since there aren't bathtubs anymore, there are no places to put shampoo, conditioner, shower gels, etc. I think a self adhesive shelf could be easity attached...

“The room is serviceable, but the cleanliness isn’t the best. It’s not rundown but the sheets were very gritty; the bathroom was also not thoroughly cleaned and there were traces of mold on the tub. The beds are very firm. There’s also a lack of outlets, so if you have more than one device to plug in it’s not convenient. The outlets were also incredibly loose- a small shift pulled my plug out of the outlet. The vanity is also incredibly small- we stayed in a double queen and we struggled with...
