Our stay in Unit A made for a most enjoyable and relaxing visit to Door County. Joseph was an excellent host, quickly responding to questions and the property reflected the intent to make guests comfortable and welcomed. We would not hesitate to book this unit again for our future visits and recommend this location and hosts. The rustic setting, great views and well stocked unit made this the ideal place to stay! Thank you to our hosts and their property staff…well done!

Just what we needed

Small and simple, perfect for a stay that involves lots of adventuring but you want to have a kitchen available for easy quick meals. As other reviewers said, there is quite a lot of noise from neighbors, but that's to be expected from an older home. It was awesome having kayaks available and Algoma was just an hour or so drive from so many fun things to do.

The property was set in a picturesque location and offered a clean, pleasant atmosphere. Its proximity to both the town and Door County made it especially convenient. The addition of a washer and dryer was a thoughtful and much-appreciated feature.

Algoma Stay

Clean, convenient and comfortable. Easily maintained and close to the bike trail and downtown. I hope to stay here again next October for biking and kayaking.

Exactly what we were looking for!

Newly renovated and very welcoming! We enjoyed everything about our stay here. The first night there was a family with a lot of kids upstairs so you heard them running around, but it was nothing crazy. They had some ground coffee available and a bottle of wine, both locally sourced. I love the support of local businesses! Overall a quiet town, but can easily access a supermarket, winieries and restaurants. Loved the use of the kayaks went out in them a few times. Only thing i would recommend to the owners is to provide a few more pillows, we usually bring ours from home, but we accidentally left them behind.

Algoma Get Away

The property is very nice! The host has done a great job providing everything you need in terms of practicality—bedding, towels, cleaning supplies, and a well supplied kitchen. This is a lovely place to stay in Algoma, easy walking distance to the harbor and restaurants, shops etc., while also being located in a very quiet neighborhood.

Quite and relaxing with view of river.

Joseph was very accommodating returning messages promptly. The street is narrow but we still managed to back our boat in the driveway. We loved the peaceful quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed listening to the birds sing, the geese swim by and a few kayakers. Thank you for the bottle of wine. We enjoyed it. This will be on my favorite list for our next visit.
