“I had a wonderful stay at Pen-y-bryn Lodge. The property is a beautiful historic building with a peaceful atmosphere, and the room was spacious, spotless, and full of character. The hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming, making the stay feel warm and personal. Overall, a fantastic experience — I would highly recommend this lodge to anyone visiting Oamaru.”

“Grand whitestone Oamaru hotel in good renovated condition. Large very clean Victorian bedroom with modern bathroom. We had dinner and drinks in the bar and dining room. The friendly barman doubled as the waiter and went out of his way to make our evening special.....thanks”

“The bed was rock hard and the shower dribbled out. The room was clean and tidy and it was evident that they are trying to upgrade the facilites. ”

“The door was broken with a screw hanging out of the door handle which is asking for injury. When we first got there they said the key was in the door which isn’t very safe, then next minute they have lost the key and it takes them 10-15 to find us a key while we just stand around and wait. We go upstairs see the door handle and it’s literally a box with a bed in it. The bathroom had a dead fly in the shower. Wanted a full refund but only got half even through we did not stay there. “Reasonably clean and tidy No tv in the lounge but one in bedroom Was a bit of road noise from trucks in units on the roadside but not unbearable. Beds were comfy , sheets clean etc.”
