“The amenities at the Avenue Inn & Spa were plentiful. Free Wi-Fi, breakfast, hot tub, wine & cheese, indoor pool, cookies, and sauna were a few of the amenities. However, the floors in the rooms were not as clean as I expected. The floors in the common areas were decent, and the atmosphere was cozy. Best atmosphere too with outdoor courtyard to enjoy quiet breakfast daily with made to order omelettes that are delish. Breakfast included unless you get specialty coffee drinks which are extra. Didn't try spa but heard from other guests it's amazing. And if you don't feel like walking 5 blocks to beach they've got free shuttle to/from beach til 430pm. “Fantastic Location, and we rented an Ocean Front Apartment, so that was the best part of our stay at the Henelopen. There was a delayed check-in due to the cleaning staff; we had to call to request clean towels everyday; there was no room service (trash, towels, sweeping,...) the entire stay; and the area directly outside of our door was quite filthy the entire 4 days of our stay (as was most of the hallway on the entire 4th floor). “Our room was not cleaned when we got there at 3. They did let us park which was great but came back at 4:15 and still not ready. Very kind lady at desk I think her name is Karen really apologized . We had things for the fridge and unloaded the car and sat outside the room until staff was done at 4:30. This was our first visit to that hotel so didn’t make a great impression. Thanks”

“Excellent location! 2 minute walk to the ocean on one side. 2 minute walk to the bay on the other side. NOTE: this place charges $15 per night for parking. This is a deal. Parking around town is $4 an hour. This hotel is conveniently located so you should be able to walk every place and not be ripped off by paying outrageous parking fees.”
