  • Il 'House in the Sun' è un grande appartamento ben attrezzato di 55 mq con vista a 180 gradi sulle pendici delle montagne bianche.
    Situato ai margini del tranquillo villaggio di Paidohori, la casa si trova a 15 minuti dalle incantevoli località balneari di Kalyves e a 20 minuti da Almyrida.
    Il mini market, la farmacia e la taverna più vicini si trovano ad Agio Pantes, a breve distanza in auto o a una passeggiata più lunga.

    L'appartamento ha una cucina ben attrezzata di dimensioni complete, generoso letto matrimoniale e un'ampia zona giorno che ha un divano letto singolo e / o un lettino da viaggio per gli ospiti aggiuntivi, se necessario, e un moderno bagno con doccia separata e servizi igienici. L'appartamento ha una TV, DVD e Wifi.

    Il riscaldamento in inverno e l'aria condizionata in estate sono disponibili su richiesta.

    Gli ospiti hanno l'uso esclusivo di un ampio patio privato e una zona salotto ombreggiata con vista mozzafiato.

    Chania, la pittoresca città veneziana con il suo porto storico è un posto favoloso da visitare e passeggiare per la città vecchia, mangiare sul lungomare o lungo le stradine nascoste. Si trova a soli 30 minuti in auto o in autobus.

    Il villaggio di Paidohori si trova tra Chania e Rethymno. L'aeroporto di La Canea dista circa 45 minuti e l'aeroporto di Heraklion è in meno di 2 ore. Siamo a 2-3 minuti dallo svincolo di Agio Pantes sulla strada nazionale.
    Ci sono trasporti pubblici da Chania e Rethymno ad Agio Pantes sulla strada nazionale dove c'è una stazione di taxi, tuttavia consigliamo gli ospiti di noleggiare un'auto.

The House in the Sun is a really well-chosen name. We had a wonderful stay in this cosy apartment, Kathie and Chris are truly excellent hosts, always friendly and helpful. Both check-in and check-out were hassle-free. The flat has a well-equipped kitchen, as well as a fireplace and air conditioning. And, of course, lots of friendly and curious cats arround.

Ein Paradies auf Erden! Wonderful place, fantastic hosts

The house in the sun is a fantastic place to vacation. It is quiet, peaceful and the view is phenomenal. Kathie and Chris were so friendly and helpful. They gave us great tips for beaches and lovely tavernas in the area. We highly recommend this place.

My husband and I had the best week in Crete, Chris and Kathy were the prefect hosts and very welcoming (and their cats were also very welcoming and friendly and gave the place a very homely feel). Super séjour

Nous avons passé, avec mes deux enfants, un très bon séjour. Idéalement placé entre La Cannée et Rethymnon, nous avons pu visiter la région et profiter d’une très belle piscine. Kathie et Crhis ont été « aux petits soins » pour nous. Location fonctionnelle et très propre qui disposent de tout le nécessaire pour passer de bonnes vacances. Je recommande fortement.

A real find!

A beautiful and thoughtfully equipped apartment in a fabulous location with stunning views over the countryside. Kathie & Chris are excellent hosts who’ve spared no detail in providing every essential, and more, for the visitors to their holiday retreat. We came to Crete for a relax and collapse from our busy lives and found the perfect haven - we really loved it. We shall certainly return and whole heartedly recommend The House in the Sun to anyone looking for an escape from the crowds and hurly burly of the resort areas.

Wonderful week at a wonderful location

Kathy & Chris were fabulous hosts. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and their tips regards restaurants, places to visit and the general area were very helpful. Property is lovely, garden and pool gorgeous and views are just stunning. We had a very restful, comfortable and happy week, not doing an awful lot, other than fussing and playing with the cats who are so friendly. Thank you both for a wonderful week.

Entspannung pur

Wir (Ehepaar Mitte 50) haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und die Ruhe im House of the sun tat uns sehr gut. Die Unterkunft (Wohnung und rund ums Haus sowie der Pool waren einzigartig. Kathie uns Chris waren sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Der Hauskater Alfi hat uns viele Schmunzelmomente beschert.

Ein wunderschöner Urlaub auf Kreta

Tolle Ferienwohnung mit allem eingerichtet was man im Urlaub braucht. Wunderschöne Anlage mit Pool. Sehr schöne Aussicht über das Tal. Tavernen und Supermarkt in 5 Min mit dem Auto oder in 25 Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit halten sich aber sehr im Hintergrund. What can we say The House in The Sun, for us it was pure paradise.The views are amazing and left myself and Julie breathless with their stunning colours and beauty.Watching the sunrise and sunset the colours changing on the Olive Groves and hills.What could be more wonderful than sitting by the pool watching swallows swoop down to drink.The owners cats with their individual personalities are adorable and wander around with grace.The property is immaculately clean, lovely comfy bed and gorgeous fresh linen.The owners Kathie and Chris are fantastic and a wonderful couple and are there to offer advice and assistance if you need it.Overall this truly is a remarkable property and area that will steal your heart and you will leave a little bit of it when you depart.

More than expected

After reading the reviews and so many positive reviews we decided to book this place. Well all i can say is we were not disappointed very clean with all you need. Wonderful well kept gardens and a beautiful pool plenty of areas to enjoy the sun but also a lovely shaded area under the wisteria to escape from the heat but for me the best was the Wonderful views of the olive groves flanked my the white mountains stunning with only the sounds of a Greek summer and the occasional Greek music playing in the distance which only enhanced the experience. If you enjoy the quieter life this is a place i would highly recommend

Paradies für Mensch und Miezen

Super schönes Haus mit tollem Pool. Kathy und Chris sind liebevolle und aufmerksame Gastgeber. Man sollte Katzen lieben, so wie eigentlich überall in Griechenland. Besonders aber dort. Wir haben neben Kathy und Chris auch alle anderen Bewohner wie Alfi, Dave, Arthur, Chlotilde und besonders Minnie ins Herz geschlossen. Gerne kommen wir wieder.

Les photos sont la réalité!

Un logement en tout point exemplaire, une vue magnifique et des hôtes très prévenants sans être omniprésents (bien que sur place). Katie et Chris ont repondu a nos demandes soit directement soit par messagerie en quelques minutes à chaque fois. Le seul petit bémol ne vient pas de l'habitation mais de l'île elle-même (et comme beaucoup d'îles que nous avons faîtes), ce sont les distances a parcourir avec une vitesse limitée et des petites routes (mis a part la route nommée "90", la seule nationale de l'île). Pour la location par contre rien a dire c'est le top!

As expected and more

For our trip in Crete we were looking for an easily accessible and central location in the countryside. What is great about the House in the sun is that even if you live among olive, orange and lemon trees, sheeps and goats and enjoy long walks from village to village in a rural environment, you are relatively close to everything by car. The appartement has met our expectations. It was perfect for 2 and had everything you need. Because we travelled early May, we did not use the pool, but we have enjoyed spending time on the private terrace which offers a gorgeous view of the surroundings. Our hosts were also great to interact with and very helpful. And the cats,…we fell in love with them. We highly recommand this place.

Peace & tranquility

This place isn’t for everyone, which doesn’t mean I’m putting this place down, quite the opposite. If you love animals, especially cats, then come here (if you don’t like cats then don’t visit Greece!). If you love to be off the beaten track, but still close enough to not be totally cut off, then come here. If you want the option of being left to your own devices and I mean totally, no room service, no towel changes while you nap etc come here. We enjoyed the solitude, no noises bars, the long walks through rural villages, the peace and quiet (apart from the dogs, birds, goats etc) the lovely local villages with great Tavernas and warm welcomes. Yes this suited us perfectly and we are looking at returning soon, and WE NEVER do that to any place that we’ve visited before !

This was a fantastic stay and the listing couldn't be more accurate. We stayed for 8 nights and it was our first holiday with our 5 month old baby.Kathie and Chris are great hosts. They really made us feel at home and went through everything with us when we arrived which put us at ease for the week and made us fully familiar with how to live comfortably during our stay.The views are stunning. The sunrises in particular were breathtaking given the apartment sits on an eastern facing hill. Kathie and Chris have done an incredible job with the design of the space as well.The pool - this was the standout for us. We were keen to still stay somewhere that enabled us to explore the west side of the island but the private pool was a huge plus point as we were keen to get our 5 month old into it and have the privacy and peace to do so at our own pace (without lots of kids splashing around or similar at hotel pools). Don't be put off by the pool being salt water - this isn't remotely as explicit as it sounds. It's a process of chlorinating the water and isn't remotely what you would guess a salt water pool would be like - do not let the naive understanding of salt water pools put you off - its better than a regular pool.Overall an unforgettable stay, which is lovely as we will cherish our first ever family holiday being somewhere as amazing as this.Do not hesitate if you are considering booking this apartment!!

A lovely House in the Sun with great hosts, facilities and environment.

Our 3rd visit to Crete. This is a lovely, air-conditioned apartment, set in a quiet traditional village in a beautiful part of Crete. The views from the patio are stunning. The facilities provided within the apartment, and outside, were all we needed for our 9 night stay. The bed is very comfortable and the pool is everything it looks, maintained at a constant 30 Deg C. Within 30 minutes travel is the lovely seaside resort of Kalyves. There are many golden, sandy, beaches within easy reach. Chania airport and city are about 30 minutes drive as is a Lidl store. There are local shops and chemists within a few minutes drive. I advise hiring a car, in order to get the best from your stay. The hosts, Kathie and Chris are lovely people! They are extremely helpful, friendly and kind. The advice that they gave us on the local area was really helpful. Thank you both, so much, for everything! We thoroughly recommend thiis for a holiday to remember! Roly & Mandy Love.
