  • Villa El è una fantastica villa a soli 4 km dalle spiagge della costa nord di Creta e situata nella famosa area del Lago di Kournas. Dispone di 4 camere e può ospitare fino a 7/8 persone in un ambiente molto moderno, ricercato e ricco di comfort. All'esterno è presente una fantastica piscina privata e uno spazio attrezzato con tavolo, sedie e cucine esterna. A meno di 1 km troverete il Lago di Kournas dove potrete noleggiare piccole barche a remi per esplorare le limpide acque del lago, fare delle belle passeggiate oppure mangiare in uno dei molti ristoranti che popolano questo luogo. Il mare (spiagge libere o attrezzate) è soli 4 km dalla proprietà.

The Villa is stunning, location is peaceful, and the owner/host is great! We had an amazing time and would undoubtedly come back. When you visit, go to Georgia’s traditional taverna right down the road. Best food you will have all vacation.

Great views of the distant mountains, countryside but a herd of sheep went by the villa everyday which was great. Very helpful owner. Fantastic pool area for toddlers. Few items missing in the kitchen and I did tell Katerina.

The villa is located a few kilometres from the beach, in the countryside behind Kourna and Georgioupoli. Although both villages can be quite busy, the area around the villa is peaceful and relaxing. The villa itself is beautiful, and the swimming pool is absolutely fantastic, just as shown in the photos. There are several excellent restaurants nearby, especially around Lake Kournas. A special thans to Katerina, who is incredibly kind, welcoming, and always happy to help. She gave us great recommendations for places to visit and made sure we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would recommend this villa to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable stay in western Crete.

Excellent séjour au sein de la villa. La maison est identique aux photos, la piscine est incroyable. La propriétaire et sa famille sont aux petits soins, toujours disponible. Nous y reviendrons sans hésitations.

A beautiful stay, the host was so lovely and accommodating the whole duration of our holiday. The villa was perfect and I recommend anyone staying here. The host was incredibly helpful and very generous, providing us with supplies and local recommendations upon arrival and very kindly gave us gifts to depart with when we checked out, which was so kind of her. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!

Es war einfach alles perfekt! Alles sah aus wie auf den Bildern und es gibt nichts relevantes zu bemängeln! Wir konnten auch bereits etwas früher als geplant einchecken. Katerina war der perfekte Host und war stets sehr zuvorkommend :) Wir kommen definitiv wieder :)

The Villa is n a beautiful setting of olive trees, with stunning views of the mountains. The Villa is very modern, was spotlessly clean and we felt the pool area in particular felt really luxurious- it’s easy to spend lazy days here listening to the crickets, the goat bells and the cockerel. You can walk to local tavernas for food, but need transport to go to the nearby supermarket and beaches. Our hosts were helpful and kind. We loved our stay here and would happily return.

Beautiful property true to the pictures, close to the village and the lake and also close to the beach. About 30 mins away from Rethymno and an hour away from Chania. Katerina the host was exceptional, always very responsive and helpful and even brought some gifts from their farm and dropped by with a cake. Was very responsive and had really good recommendations. Couldn't have asked for any more.

We had a great time at this amazing villa! It was just as described and as per the photos. A really well thought out space. The host was super friendly, really responsive with clear instructions and suggestions of local restaurants etc. Katerina our host was amazing, she even cooked a welcome meal for us, along with baking a cake and bringing us treats during our stay with a lovely gift to leave. The location is great with beautiful surroundings! You’ll need a car to explore.

We had a fantastic stay at this villa in Chania. The host was excellent, always on hand for anything, and even brought us delicious homemade food. The villa was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, with a great pool, a brilliant BBQ area, and stunning views. We also used the local masseuse, who came to the villa — the massages were excellent and very reasonably priced. The location was peaceful yet just a short drive to shops, tavernas, beaches, and a local supermarket that has everything you need. Our children loved watching the goats walk up the road each day. We would also highly recommend the local butcher in Georgioupolis for BBQ supplies. A perfect base for exploring Crete — we’d definitely return!

My family and I, of which there was 6 of us, spent 10 days at this wonderful property. The premises are extremely modern and very welcoming with beautiful décor and tiling/flooring throughout with 4 distinctive double bedrooms. The pool area had a wonderful pool with a jacuzzi as well, plus 3 islands with two built in sunbeds on each island. The outside dinning area is superb and we spent many an evening on the patio after having enjoyed a BBQ with a few glasses of wine, However, when we were not so keen on cooking there were several local restaurants offering excellent local cuisine which was also more than affordable. The location is extremely quiet with the exception of the sheep who run by the property mid morning and return late afternoon with their small bells ringing under their necks which was lovely to witness! Finally, our host was exceptional and could not do enough to assist our various requests for numerous pieces of information, plus taking the time to ensure we were enjoying ourselves. In fact, the lady was just a lovely person who could not do enough for us. For a location of seclusion and pure luxury, whilst surrounded with peace & quiet & stunning mountain views then this represents an ideal property for a holiday/break in my opinion.

If I could I’d give this 7STARS!!!! First of all, can I say, one of the negative reviews below made me panic a few days before our trip and I was worried about what we were going to arrive to. As a person who ALWAYS books amazing hotels & villas. THIS DID NOT DISAPPOINT. This place needs the reviews upping to make sure people know how incredible it is. From Katerina the host, everyday making sure we’re ok, bringing delicious Greek delicacies, she was in hand whenever we needed her. The Villa is so so stunning, EXACTLY like the pictures. It’s in a typically rural Greek village which is SAFE but just slightly out of the way (5-10 mins from everything) but that’s exactly what we wanted. Peace and quiet. The views were spectacular. The most beautiful thing to see were the goats every morning on the lane going down to be milked, it was just the most gorgeous alarm. If you want, luxurious, clean, peaceful Morden Greek vibes, THIS is your perfect destination! 11/10 thank you so much!!!

A Perfect Family Getaway – Peaceful, Welcoming, and Full of Adventure We had a wonderful stay in a lovely location that was ideal for a family holiday. The accommodation was excellent — clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. It’s tucked away just enough to feel peaceful, yet still close to the sea, lake, and other amenities. The lake is just a short and easy walk away, with a few shops and plenty of places to eat nearby. A day at the lake is a must for all the family — relaxing and fun. The supermarket is around 3km away and walkable, I’d recommend driving if you have kids. There are some great places to eat in the area. Georgia’s is just a short walk and perfect for a traditional meal. A 10-minute drive takes you to The Salty Goat, right on the beach and has a fantastic vibe. Georgioupoli is also nearby 5-10min dirve and offers lovely shops, great dining options, and a fantastic butcher (Kafkalas) — perfect for BBQ lovers! One of the highlights of our trip was a 4hr Quad bike safari into the mountains. It was an amazing experience and the kids absolutely loved it — highly recommended! Finally, a huge thank you to our host, Katerina. She was incredibly attentive and welcoming, with great local knowledge. She surprised us with delicious homemade treats every few days, which made our stay feel extra special. Her hospitality truly made our holiday top-class.
