Good menu choice in the restaurant with fresh fish and local meat all delicious. Plentiful breakfast of very high quality. “We stayed here for two nights and we were astounded how good the hotel was for the price that we paid. The room was ample size, spotlessly clean and had everything that we needed. The staff were all really friendly and welcoming. The food (both breakfast and dinner) were excellent and great value for money. We have already booked to return next year. “The room was clean and comfortable. We had a nice view of the countryside even though we were not facing the sea. The staff were nice and friendly. The only downside was that the parking facilities were quite limited and the space was always tight.”

“We had a wonderful stay in the Shephards Hut at the White Horse. The experience genuinely surpassed my expectations. The Hut itself is very high quality, and the amenities were great. A very well furnished kitchenette enabled us to cook a hearty breakfast - with all of the ingredients for a fry up provided for us in the fridge! A very lovely experience, and our dinner in the pub on the day of our arrival was very good too!”

“We stayed here due to a wedding at nearby Bruisyard. It was a lovely stay and I couldn’t fault it, a beautiful setting full of nature and a very well preserved property. Liz was very accommodating allowing us to drop our luggage and car off earlier than check in; we also came down to a very very nice breakfast with something for everyone. ”

“Room was clean and fully equipped for a quick morning coffee which is helpful. Staff was nice and check in and out were very smooth. The only problem is that room isolation is not very good so we could hear noises from the outside and inside the property late at night. Would recommend irrespective of it. ”

“There was no bedside light (despite there being two bedside tables) and no rubbish bin in the room. The curtains did not close properly. One window had a crack in it and there is no double glazing so the road outside was noisy. It was very hot, but we kept the windows closed to try to reduce the noise (no aircon).The staff were very helpful however (having moved us from a different room as the bathroom light wasn't working in that one).”
