“The room was large with a beautiful hand laid parquet hardwood floor. Water pressure good with plenty of hot water. Linens crisp and clean, duvet comfy, bed and pillows comfortable. Staff lovely. I miss the full service restaurant where we had been eating since 2007, but the breakfast is still good and the staff efficient and friendly. This is my home away from home. 1 star lost because of restsurant. But they do leave in the room a list of places that deliver, which is very handy. And the pool...

“The rooms are clean and the workers are friendly and respond to requests promptly. I did not like the fact that the intercom did not work throughout my stay although whatsapp number was used to contact the reception from time to time.”

“This hotel was very nice. The area was prime and there were really nice markets as well as restaurants in walking distance. Derek (our butler) as well as the other staff we came in contact with were great and very accommodating. They made sure we were safe and had someone with us when we walked or went to the night market. They even walked us to restaurants at night. Poolside and the lobby areas were very comfortable. “Everyone thankfully speaks English, but the accent can be difficult to understand at times, which made communication a little challenging. Upon arriving at Embassy Gardens and checking in, the strong cologne around the front desk was overwhelming and immediately gave me a sinus headache. “there were a few issues with things not working in the room, like the phone, toaster, microwave. Then the toilet wasn't flushing. i had to be moved to another room. that was inconvenient and took time from my exploration time. my room key stopped working several times and i kept having to get it reactivated. that was very annoying. otherwise it's a nice place to stay and the staff were nice. i really appreciated having a nice apartment to myself.”
