Benvenuti al Catahoula Lodge! Questa baita di montagna splendidamente rinnovata si trova su 4+ acri di privacy boscosa. All'interno troverai ampie camere da letto, pavimenti in legno di acero, bagni nuovi di zecca e nuovi per il 2018 sono nuovi armadi, controsoffitti ed elettrodomestici! Due stufe a legna e un bellissimo camino in pietra offrono una fantastica esperienza in cabina. Esci e goditi i portici avvolgenti che circondano tutti i lati della casa. Un bellissimo ruscello di montagna al nostro confine settentrionale completa le opzioni all'aperto: il luogo ideale per giocare in acqua o fare un picnic. L'ampio cortile recintato offre sicurezza per bambini o animali domestici.
Situato a soli 1-1 / 2 miglia a sud di Dupont State Park e cinque miglia a nord di Ceaser's Head, questo è il luogo perfetto per escursioni, mountain bike, equitazione, cascate e molto altro ancora! Il bivio per la cappella Pretty Place si trova a sole tre miglia a sud, con una vista spettacolare sul panorama della Carolina del Sud. Siamo a circa 10 minuti da Brevard - votata come una delle migliori cittadine d'America! Brevard è pieno di gallerie d'arte, ceramiche e tessuti, ottimi ristoranti e negozi. Hendersonville ha ancora di più e si trova a circa 15 miglia a est. Asheville è a nord circa 30 miglia.

Awesome location if you hike every day like we do! Never drove more than 25 minutes to a trailhead. Most days it was less than 15 minutes’ drive. Good cafes 5 minutes away. Huge, quiet front porch where we spent most of our non-hiking time was surrounded by trees.

Family vacation 2025

Cabin was great. Enough room inside and out for every one including the 2dogs. Only problem we had was some of the dishes were not clean and some of the kitchen counters were sandy but nothing that soap and water could not handle. Also you do have unwanted house guests…flies…but the kids( young and old) had fun catching them and throwing them outside. Overall we had a GREAT time!

Our stay was great. Visited the pretty place chapel for aun raise for one of my sons that passed in December 07,2024 but we only had buried him 2 weeks prior and it was his 21st birthday. Wonderful place to relax and enjoy sharing memories of Jacob..

Great get away from the hustle and busyness of Florida.

Very spacious for our group of 5 adults! Kitchen was well stocked. Loved the wood burning stoves that add the perfect warmth and coziness. Perfect location near a lot of hiking, Pretty Place is a must see! The fenced in yard was perfect for our dogs. Will definitely check availability if in the area again. Owner was very responsive and accommodating.

Perfect for our family

The house's location was perfect as it was close to DuPont, Brevard, and Pisgah National Forest. The property itself was spacious and private, providing the perfect getaway for us and our pets. The fenced-in yard was a huge plus! We loved spending evenings by the fire pit, and the house was comfortable and well-equipped. The owners were very responsive when we had questions. We would stay here again.

Enjoyed our day

We had a great time, we were very close to the Pretty Place Chapel, where we were performing a Wedding. We some hiking and touring as well as a Pontoon ride on Lake Lure. All and all a great time and the facilities were great.

Beautiful Cabin

Stayed here three nights with my family and loved it. The cabin was very spacious and clean. We loved the porch and fire pit. The cabin felt secluded and that’s what we were looking for. We would definitely stay here again.

Fun getaway

We enjoyed our stay in Cedar Mountain with its close proximity to Dupont State park. The cabin was great for our large family and the fenced in yard was wonderful for the dogs. I initially booked this property because of the stream on site, however there was no path leading to a stream so I did contact the owner who tried to re create a path, but it was very difficult to walk and the stream was very far from the property and not easily accessible. The home was equipped with everything needed to cook and clean so that was nice. I would recommend new towels as they smelt moldy and there were not enough for the size of the home.

Awesome cabin in a great location

We have been coming to Brevard for biking for years. This place is the first place I check when booking. The house is clean. Nice weber grill to cook on, well stocked kitchen, and a comfortable, spacious living room. Nice washer and dryer pre-stocked with Tide Pods is great to wash your riding kit. Love the location with the large yard and fire pit. Super convenient to Dupont and a short drive to Brevard. Detached 2 car garage is perfect for storing the bikes and extra handy in case you get a rainy day and want to do some work on your bike. They always have a couple racks of seasoned firewood so its great to be able to easily get a fire going without having to wrestle with damp green wood. If you get rained out, the covered porch w/ rocking chairs is a great place to chill. We will definitely be coming back!

Best Christmas vacation!!!

The house was perfect for my family of 9, we all loved the house, the property, the location. There was enough space for everyone without feeling crowded during our 2 days indoors because of the rain. Having the Dupont State Forest right around the corner was awesome for hiking and waterfall viewing. And we enjoyed snow tubing at Moonshine Mountain, that was an easy drive only 30 minutes away. Lastly, we enjoyed breakfast/lunch at the Creekside Market and Grill right around the corner there in Cedar Mountain.

The house is in a convenient location, so we enjoyed Hendersonville, Brevard, and DuPont Forest. Beautiful, wooded property with fall color. We found the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals, and we loved the pure pit! Will stay here again!
