The whole experience was excellent from the meet and greet by the host who was very attentive and helpful, Sakis was very friendly and very informative throughout the stay . Great advice about going out dinner with the locals and even to us the the famous bar Brettos great service overall! We would definitely recommend it to everyone and our friends!!!

The host was very gracious and accommodating. You are in the middle of everything. Clean and homey apartment. Beautiful rooftop scene. So close to major attractions.

This property is ideally situated, in excellent condition and very clean. Communication with the host was also excellent and we appreciated his assistance with arranging a driver from the airport as it may have been difficult for us to find the property at night otherwise. The rooftop patio was lovely with an amazing view of the Acropolis!

Sakis meets at property and gives u a great overview of the house and how everything works. Then lead us to a very good restaurant that had the best Greek salad and taziki with fresh pita bread. The area is very good with easy walking access to acropolis and to dinner tours. This area is very nice and the views are excellent.

This host was amazing! His staff, his property, his timeliness to respond to messages as we were planning our trip was amazing! The rooftop was amazing to sit on and just listen to the locals and the restaurant nearby had live music. He arranged all of our trips to and from the airport, even for our day excursion to Santorini. In total 4 trips all the same driver but one, that was confronting. Room was the perfect size for my husband and I, had a fridge for wine, fruit, drinks, leftovers and a small oven to reheat our pizza late at night! Everything was within walking distance and we really just stayed in the Plaka area. It was so perfect! I highly recommend staying here. If we ever make it back we defiantly will and I have already told my friend who is honeymooning next spring all about it :)

So close to the Acropolis and other historical sights. I’m 68 and had heart surgery last year. There were hills but we managed them. Even walked up to the acropolis. The picture with the view from the rooftop seemed too good to be true. It wasn’t if anything it understated it. Sakis gave us lots of advice. Probably 20 restaurants within a half a mile. And 100 shops. And not overly ritzy ones. We loved it!

Even better than we hoped! The location, of course, was perfect, and the bed, pillows, even the shower were all fantastic. Manager/owner Sakis was super helpful arranging taxis for us and making great dinner recommendations. The rooftop area is well-maintained, with several chair and table sets. Perfect for a glass of wine respite before you dive back into the glorious chaos below.

We loved this apartment, right in the middle of Plaka so the perfect location to walk to all the sights. Plaka is a very safe and pretty area. We chose the apartment for it's roof terrace and it didn't disappoint ! eating breakfast up there with views of The Acropolis and the rest of the city was wonderful. Sakis had great communication and a lovely lady cleaned the apartment every day. If I had one criticism it would be that the bathroom is a little small and this could be helped by putting a shower screen in , instead of a curtain but really that is a tiny observation and it wouldn't stop us staying there again or recommending it.

Location, location, location – it's everything they promised and more! The Acropolis view was absolutely breathtaking, and it's not an exaggeration to say that Plaka's restaurants and those iconic stairs were just a stone's throw away. What's even more incredible? This place managed to be both in the heart of it all and tucked away in the quietest nook. The bed - it was incredibly comfy and clean. Our only minor hiccup was the size of the shower room – it was on the snug slide. But honestly, with that spectacular view and unbeatable location, it didn't bother us one bit! Saki was always there when we needed anything, making our whole experience even more fantastic!

Such a wonderful stay at Acro & Polis! You could not ask for a better location - so central and with such an amazing rooftop view of the Acropolis. The condition of my room was perfect. It was so spacious, clean, and had everything I needed! The man who runs it, Sakis, is amazing and unbelievably helpful and accommodating! If you have the chance to stay here, you must!!! I will absolutely be returning and will recommend this place to everyone I know!

Beautiful little apartment in the best part of town in Plaka. This is where you want to stay where all the cute shops and restaurants are within walking distance. Owner was great always quick to answer and the cleaning ladies are super sweet. Overall a great place to stay in Athens/

The apartment was very clean and nicely decorated. We appreciated the toiletries and slippers provided. There was bottled water, juice, and oranges in the fridge which we appreciated as well, such a thoughtful touch. The owner stayed in contact with us regarding a power outage which helped us feel less stressed over not having power when we arrived. Communication was top notch! The view of the Acropolis from the roof was spectacular. A great location to sit and take in the beauty of nighttime Athens. My only complaint was the size of the shower. It was very small and made it difficult to move without hitting either wall or shower curtain. Definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again if in Athens!

Great stay
This turned out to be a very nice boutique hotel at a great price. We had plenty of room, a little kitchenette and was central to the main historical sites of Athens. The owner was kind, showed us the ropes and consistently checked on us.

Wonderful and unbeatable location!
A lovely stay at a wonderful property. Excellent owner and management person. We had the Apollo. Beautifully kept, immaculately clean and an all around wonderful accommodation. Especially enjoyed the rooftop terrace within a stones throw of the Acropolis. You feel as though you can actually touch it - it’s that close! Will stay again on a return to Athens.

Roof top view was beautiful, especially at night. Very close to the Acropolis and great restaurants. The owner was very thoughtful and attentive and provided us with great recommendations. Overall, very clean and nice building. Would recommend to anyone traveling to Athens.

Amazing location, place is very clean, and our host Sakis was incredible. After a horrible flight experience, lost bags, missed cruise, Sakis was very kind to check us in after hours, and made sure we were all set before leaving. I couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay. Sakis, you rock!

Feels more like an Air B&B than a hotel. The roof top patio provides amazing 360 views of the Acropolis and the Athens writ large. Great location and well put together - and Sarkis, our host, was super responsive and lovely to deal with. We only stayed one night en route back to NYC from the islands but would definitely stay longer should be lucky enough to have a next time in Greece.

Attention to detail is what I call this property owner. Sakis was very attentive and cordial. But warning, this is for 3 people maximum. Unless you are a couple with 2 very small children. If you are more than this amount of people look elsewhere. The rooftop was very nice at night , the acropolis is light up and the views beautiful. There are tons of tavernas and cafes nearby. The cafe acrosss the street was very good and not pricey. Cafe Plaka. Great place for walking around.

The property was beautiful and the location was the best. The apartment was very clean and beautifully kept. The only issue was that we wanted to use the hide-a-bed, we asked for extra blankets and were charged $25 euros. We were a party of 4 (2 parents, 2 teenage children that didnt want to sleep together) we didnt let the property know in advance, because we didnt know we needed to. Other then that, it was a 9.5/10
