Wynyard Quarter Apartment with Aircon & Carpark

Wynyard Quarter is considered as one of the best locations in Auckland and the brand new 30 Madden apartment complex is right in the heart of it.

This 1-bedroom apartment features an open plan living-kitchen/dining area, which connects to the large, east-facing, covered balcony catching the morning sun.

The carefully selected furnishings and the high-end European appliances and fittings are an extension of the understated elegance of the building itself.

Here are 3 things our guests love about our apartment:

2. The location is simply outstanding. Walking distance to the finest restaurants, bars and shopping that Auckland has to offer. Viaduct harbour, Commercial Bay, Britomart, all at your doorstep. Fancy a day out on the harbour? The ferry terminal is easy access or if you yourself are a boatie, Westhaven Marina and Orams drydock can house your boat in your own backyard
There is a bus stop conveniently located nearby for the City Link and Route 75, that can quickly take you to Queen Street, Auckland Hospital and Newmarket.

3. The “30 Madden” apartment complex has been designed by the award-winning Studio Pacific Architecture. This brand new building has a Homestar seven rating for sustainability and energy efficiency, which places it amongst the highest rated residential blocks in the CBD. The building includes a series of elevated courtyard spaces that capture the afternoon sun for the use of all residents.

Here are 3 things to consider before renting our apartment:

1. The apartment building is a close-knit residential community, so no parties are permitted in the apartment at all times during your stay. This applies to all residents, so ensures you will have a peaceful and quiet stay yourself.

2. Wynyard Quarter is undergoing revitalization with a number of buildings under construction, also the apartment building is located overlooking Daldy Street which is a regular bus route. Despite double glazing and being 3 floors up, you may still hear the hum of the city in the bedroom.

3. Even though private and elevated, the apartment is located in a central city neighbourhood, so you will be surrounded by buildings and other residents. That’s not a downside, since the neighbours are generally a very considerate group of people, but you will be aware of their presence on occasion. Most people actually love it, since you will have a chance to meet locals and quickly strike up a conversation. Live like a local amongst locals and you will love your stay. Living in a close-knit community requires some basic rules to make things easier. We ask that you abide by these rules and that you are a considerate neighbour. By all means, live and enjoy yourself, just be mindful of noise and loud music both inside and out and you’ll have a fabulous time.

We have furnished this brand new apartment with new modern contemporary furniture.

KITCHEN

Our fully equipped kitchen includes chef-quality stainless steel gourmet cookware, and good quality knives. We've supplied a Nespresso machine coffee aficionados.

LOUNGE

Sit back and relax in style on the comfortable sofa while watching Netflix on the 4K Smart TV. The wifi is connected to an unlimited high-speed internet connection.

BEDROOM

The bed comes with wool all-seasons duvets, high thread count sheets and plenty of pillows.

The large wardrobe has plenty of clothes hangers and ample hanging space plus a built-in drawer unit.

LAUNDRY

The laundry includes both a Bosch front-loading washing machine and a separate dryer, and we supply washing powder.

GETTING AROUND

Our place is less than a 15 minutes walk or a $5-10 Uber ride to much of the central city, including Westhaven, Wynyard Quarter, Viaduct Harbour, Queen St, and Ponsonby.

If you want to catch a bus, CityLink and Route 75 both go right past the apartment building.

PARKING

Free secure parking for one car is provided in the car park space located within the apartment building. There is direct access to the apartment from the car park (no stair climbing required). The maximum vehicle height is 2.1m. Please contact us if you have an overheight vehicle, and we will do our best to accommodate.

There are bicycle racks located in the car park.

OPTIONAL EXTRAS

Regular cleaning. If you are staying for a few weeks, perhaps you would like to arrange regular weekly or fortnightly cleaning or a one-off additional clean. The cost is $186/visit for a clean and linen change, and $123/visit for a standard clean (no linen change). You can either arrange this in advance, or while you are staying.

Portacot (additional $6/day). We can provide Jolly Jumper Roma 2-in-1 portacots that have both bassinet and cot level. This model has passed safety tests and is recommended by Consumer NZ. We'll also provide cots sheets and blankets.

We will do our best to greet you at check-in. We also live a few minutes away, so we can pop over and provide assistance if required.

Wynyard Quarter is becoming one of New Zealand’s most exciting and diverse places. Bordered on three sides by the sparkling Waitemata Harbour, the 37 hectare area has been home to the hard-working marine and fishing industries for decades. Recently, alongside the ongoing marine activity, some exciting developments have taken place.

This once industrial and port area, closed off to public access for many years, is now being opened up. The first stage of the Wynyard Quarter revitalization centred around Jellicoe Street opened in 2011 - and Aucklanders haven’t looked back since. With a variety of restaurants, cafes and a healthy calendar of events, this area quickly established itself as a popular destination for both locals and visitors. Since then a wave of additional commercial development has taken off on the southern edge of the precinct, bordering Fanshawe Street.
You must have at least one Airbnb profile photo that clearly shows your face, and you must have Airbnb verified Government ID.

Quiet time after 10 pm. It cannot be stressed strongly enough that the body corporate has a zero-tolerance approach to excessive noise and activities.

You will be allocated a dedicated car park that you are welcome to use for your entire stay. Electric vehicle charging is not possible from this car park.

For long-stay booking requests 27 nights or longer, we require that guests sign a standard "New Zealand Residential Tenancy Agreement". This gives you the same protections as other tenants in New Zealand, and helps keep our insurance company and accountant happy. After you have booked, we'll send you a link to a document that you can electronically sign.

The apartment complex management operates a CCTV surveillance system. Cameras record activity in common areas, hallways and car parks. The recordings may be used for enforcement of the body corporate rules, and may be supplied to the police if illegal activity is suspected.

Before you arrive, you will be provided with a copy of the body corporate rules, and you are required to follow the rules outlined in this document.

You are required to provide the following details, and you authorise us to pass it on to the apartment complex management.
1. The full names of all occupants who will be staying at our place both adults and children (for children please indicate ages).
2. A contact phone number of the primary occupant.
3. The licence plate(s) of all cars that will be parked in the car park.
