Getting around from here is pretty easy—parking is free and straightforward, so if you’ve got a car, you’re good to go. Most spots in Austin, like downtown, South Congress, and the East Side, are 5-10 minutes away by car. Rideshares are reliable and don’t take long to show up. There’s also a bus stop within walking distance if you’re going car-free, though you’ll probably want a car or Uber for convenience, especially in the heat. Austin’s one of those places that really has a little bit of everything—great food (especially tacos and BBQ), live music pretty much every night, and this cool mix of outdoorsy and artsy energy. You can spend the morning paddleboarding on Lady Bird Lake, grab lunch from a food truck, then catch a show at the Moody Center or just wander South Congress for shops and people-watching. It’s super laid-back, a little weird (in a good way), and somehow always buzzing without feeling overwhelming.
