“The Wayside more than met our expectations for early American historic properties. It has a broad selection of antique-filled bedrooms that are clean and comfortable. The public spaces vary from an 18th century log tavern encased in the younger early 19th century spaces with elegant Victorian parlors, all immaculately dusted. “5 out of 5 stars Rooms were very clean. Beds were very comfortable. Best sleep I’ve ever had in a hotel. Staff were very helpful and kind. Everything within a 5 minute distance from hotel. Breakfast had a great selection of food including bagels, cereals, fruits, muffins, and eggs. Check in and check out was a breeze since you were able to do it through your phone. Pool was a nice temperature as well and very clean. If we ever come back to Winchester, we will definitely be staying here again.”

“I accidentally booked a handicapped accessible room and ended up with two double beds instead of queens which was unfortunate, but my fault. However, the room was not in good shape, plus the beds would squeak every time you moved. In addition, there was a bright light outside our window, which shined a lot of light into our room, making it more difficult to sleep.”
