Venite a godervi la nostra casa sul lago di 1.500 piedi quadrati recentemente rinnovata sul lago di canguro. Questa casa conserva il fascino originale del cottage degli anni '40 con il classico camino in pietra di Door County (non funzionante), pareti in cedro e pavimenti in legno. La casa può ospitare comodamente 8-12 persone con 4 camere da letto e 2. 5 bagni. La sala da pranzo ha una vista sul lago e 12 posti a sedere. Vi è abbondanza di spazio per cene all'aperto, giochi sul prato e relax. * TV satellitare e WiFi forniti *.

La camera da letto principale al primo piano ha un letto matrimoniale, un bagno privato e un patio con vista sul lago. Il piano superiore ha 3 camere da letto e un altro bagno completo. La prima camera ha 2 letti singoli, la seconda camera ha un letto completo e la terza terza camera che si affaccia sul lago ha un letto matrimoniale e un futon pieno. C'è anche un divano letto matrimoniale nel soggiorno e un bagno di servizio al primo piano. Il camino è bellissimo ma non funziona.

Kangaroo Lake è un lago di 1.156 acri, alimentato a molla con una profondità massima di 12 piedi. Cattura i pesci dal molo, dalla strada rialzata o da una delle barche fornite (canoa, kayak, paddle board e peschereccio). Il fondale sabbioso del lago è l'ideale per guadare e giocare in acqua. La temperatura dell'acqua è bella e calda intorno ai 15 gradi più calda del Lago Michigan.

* Il dock verrà installato intorno al 20 maggio e verrà rimosso intorno al 15 ottobre di ogni anno. Se scegli di soggiornare prima del 20 maggio, il molo e il peschereccio non saranno disponibili. La canoa, il kayak e il paddleboard saranno ancora disponibili per l'uso. *

C'è molto da fare a Door County, ma potresti accontentarti di trascorrere la giornata nella casa sul lago, a giocare in acqua, in barca, in canoa, in kayak, a paddle board, a pescare o semplicemente a rilassarti. Alla fine della giornata, godetevi il tramonto sul lago o seduti accanto al fuoco.

We vacationed on Kangaroo Lake every summer for 20 years at another place— East Shorewood Cottages. We loved it, but it was summer only and the cottages are small. It was wonderful to revive memories of a beloved lake in this wonderful house, large enough for our adult children and partners. We had some WiFi issues, but Ryan was super responsive. Highly recommend.

The property is amazing, and very well maintained. The only thing I would change is that towels be included. I hadn’t read the description closely enough and we had to make an emergency shopping trip to get towels. I can’t really understand why this wouldn’t be included in the amenities. I personally wouldn’t want to pack towels for a large family. This, to me, is a basic amenity. Other than that it was a perfect stay!!

Our family of nine very much enjoyed the stay, our second year in a row here. The lake is clear and beautiful! Some people fished from the rowboat, while others used stand up paddle boards and still others kayaked. It's close to good hiking, and the bicycling was excellent -- nicest roads I've encountered anywhere with very little traffic. The kitchen is over-stocked with small to medium cookware, so we usually bring a large stockpot, a couple of loaf pans, and a large bowl for salads, etc. Other than that, it has everything we needed. Hosts are responsive to text/email.

We are very pleased with the location, we were able to go out to restaurants within 10 to 15 minutes of the place and including one just a half a mile from it. It’s very relaxing, quiet, we had a great time.

Our 6 family members thoroughly enjoyed staying at this beautiful home. The location was fantastic, close to things to do, yet quiet and serene when we wanted to rest and recharge. Although it is Fall, we took advantage of the canoe and had fun taking turns around the lake. The property was extremely clean and well-equipped with anything you’d really need for cooking and lakeside activities. Also, I haven’t slept this well in probably years. Thank you, Thank you! :) we hope to make it back again.

We are 3 retired couples wanting to explore Washington & Rock Islands, Bailey’s Harbor, Sister Bay, Ephraim & Fish Creek. All were within a short distance from the cabin. There were many dining options and wineries nearby. Cabin was clean & as described. The stairway to 3 bedrooms upstairs is steeper & narrow & may be difficult for some guests. The fans upstairs were a Blessing during the rainy nights when windows could not be open. The garage was nice to store our bikes. We enjoyed our stay.

We had a wonderful stay! Two families - 4 adults, 3 teens and 2 seven year olds. It was a comfortable amount of space for 9 people. We were super impressed with how well the kitchen was stocked, and with the variety of equipment for outdoor activities. The paddle boards were a huge hit! We also utilized the board games & toys every day. We had milder temps in the 70s all week, so the upstairs AC window unit in one bedroom cooled the upstairs very quickly at night. We were two separate family units and closed the bedroom doors while sleeping. It would likely get very warm in the other 2 bedrooms on super hot days/nights unless app bedroom doors were kept open. The cabin was fairly clean. We found some places that had not been cleaned well before we arrived. The long dining table with ample seating was also awesome to have for meals and playing games. Overall, we recommend the Lakeside Cabin for your family vacation!

This was better even than we anticipated. We made good use of the kayak and stand up paddleboards included. The lawn was big enough to accommodate our badminton set. The table/dining area easily accommodated our family of nine. Two of our kids spent a lot of time fishing from the adjacent causeway. We also enjoyed reading beneath the shady tree and watching the lake. It's close to several good places to hike, too. We will strongly consider returning! Maureen answered questions promptly.

Wonderful location in Door County and quiet being away from the "hustle" of the small towns, while still being close and easy access to everything! Clean and well-stocked house, with lots of amenities. Would definitely stay here again!

This a great lakefront property and really nice home. If the weather had been a little better, the outdoor area would’ve been fantastic to enjoy. Beautiful views of the lake. Having little ones, I really appreciated that this home had a lot of items for kids too. Property owners were very responsive, accommodating and easy to work with. would definitely recommend staying here and would love to stay here again in the future.

Second time we have stayed here. Property is so cute, and it includes everything you would need. The lake is so clear and clean. The location is awesome as well. Very short drive to any of the other towns. We will be back for sure.

Lovely and peaceful setting with a well-equipped kitchen and every entertainment need provided. We hated to leave, but left relaxed and restored. Perfect for water activities and access to all that Door County has to offer! Our hosts were attentive and responsive. We look forward to renting again!

We enjoyed our time at the Lakeside Cabin. Over all it was a wonderful stay. We loved being able to canoe and kayak right in the back yard and loved having a fire at the end of the day. We didn't realize the property was right off a main road. So we were a little bummed about that, but did enjoy the walking distance to Coyote Roadhouse (which we totally recommend)! The cleanliness of the house over all was good, but I'm not sure the floors were mopped. It felt very dirty and our feet/socks were pretty dirty as well. But those things I would say weren't too big of an issue to say to not rent this place again. All the other details made our trip great. The communication between the owners and us was also amazing! They were quick to respond and super helpful. I even left my DSLR camera by accident and they are willing to help get that back to me. Thank you so much for opening your home to allow us to make some memories as a family.

First of all, the hosts are fabulous. They responded to questions quickly, communicated clearly and had everything ready for our arrival… including having the dock, boat and water toys ready for us to experience Kangaroo Lake completely, even though it was early in the season. So much appreciated. They also gave tons of information about the home and surrounding area restaurants, attractions, parks, etc…and recommended many “must see” locations on the peninsula that greatly helped with planning our time there. Nicely centrally located to be able to get anywhere on the peninsula quickly and with ease. We are from California and very familiar with beautiful scenery but Door County did not disappoint! We were 9 adults ranging from 31 to 71 years old and all of us had a great time exploring all the area had to offer. The cottage is cozy, kitchen well equipped and the huge dining room table accommodated all of us for meals and story telling. We spent a lot of afternoons in the grassy backyard, sitting in colorful Adirondack chairs soaking up the sun, grilling dinner and enjoying the peaceful isolation and each other’s company. A beautiful location for a family to gather! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us.

We had a wonderful long weekend for my bachlorette party, the property was well maintained, great backyard area with plenty of seating. We loved having fires at night! The double kayak, SUPs, and canoe were great for our group to get out on the water (which was very clean!), and the yard had a perfect view of the sunset. The location was also great for going to wineries and state parks, most things were about 15 mins away or less. Would definitely return in the future!
