Hotel vicino a Baker's Lake Nature Preserve - Chicago

“The staff was very friendly, but the property needs updating and deeper cleaning. They only clean rooms during your stay on request. We stayed 3 nights, so I requested cleaning at 10:00 a.m. before our final night. When we returned briefly to our room at 4 p.m. it had not been cleaned. I asked again and they said it should have been cleaned and that the cleaning staff was leaving for the day. They apologized and said they would see if they could do it, but if they hadn't by the time we got back...

“Hotel was nice but room smelled like smoke. We didn’t ask to change because I was already super sick, which is my fault but still something that should have been noticed before renting out the room.”

“The staff was amazing and the food from the Placery was really good. The property itself could use an update. The window in my room was cracked with a bad repair and the air conditioner was very loud and did very little to cool off the room. The room needed to be updated.”

“Room was spacious and clean. The stay was comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was very good and I was surprised with many choices for being free. If we're ever back in the area I'd choose this hotel.”

“Breakfast had lots of your typical hot and cold options. Cookies baked daily for guests. Beverages free on weekday evenings. Pool and hot tub were nice with the last hour reserved for only adults. Staff so kind and helpful. Laundry was nice. Room was large and clean with comfy beds. Quiet and safe area.”

“A very clean place; the cleaning ladies were very kind, and the gentleman at the reception was a very nice person.”

“Room was clean, breakfast was fine and staff were nice. The side door to the building had a non working lock so you could exit through that door, however you couldn't enter through that door and had to always use front door. There was no sign on the door that it didn't work so guests often tried to use it and then had to walk around to the front door. The indoor pool was frigid and felt like it either had a broken heater or the heater was turned down to a point that it wasn't usable. Our kids...

“Noisiest hotel stay ever. There was constantly stomping and banging from the rooms above us (we had two adjoining rooms and could clearly hear it from both). We checked in at around 4.00pm and were in the rooms for about an hour, the noise was constant. When we returned to the rooms at 10.00pm it was quiet, until 4.30am when it started up again and woke us up for the day. We left at 8.00am to get some peace and quiet from all the banging and stomping. Hotel said nothing they could do.”
