“At a first glimpse, the hotel seems a little bit dated. In reality, it is pretty confortable. The room are not too big, but there is everything you need. The bed is a springs one, certainly not the ultra modern memory foam, but not bad. Tidiness is decent. A special mention to the service: all the staff is available and helpful to your needs. “Enjoyable food and ambiance. Pleasant location by river and interesting artifacts connected to the old mill. Quiet location for overnight accommodation away from the main building. Only slight problem was the pebbled area which made wheeling luggage a bit difficult.”

“Great short stay. Our room oozed character and history, enhanced by top quality fittings. Bed was enormous and super comfy. Breakfast was absolutely spot on. Complimentary bottles(!) of gin and whisky and the posh shower toiletries topped it all off.”

“The room we booked "Damson" was very well equipped, spolessly clean and very comfortable. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive giving good advice about both food and drink choices. Our only issue was the noise when trying to sleep. This was NOT the fault of the owners. The weather was very nice and customers were understandably making the most of this. Unfortunately our window was directly above a seating area. ”

“What a wonderful stay. When I first arrived, my initial room had a nasty smell, but the lovely team quickly moved me to an exceptional suite which quite frankly made my week. We had dinner at the hotel as well, and the food was wonderful, as was the service. Highly recommend a walk around the stunning gardens. They are very well kept and make for a lovely morning activity. Thank you very much to the team for making my stay such a pleasant one :) ”
