“Great staff and a friendly welcome made my one night stay quite enjoyable. The food was great both in the evening and morning especially being sat outside on the terrace next to the River Avon which was a very pleasant experience. It was extremely hot weather during my stay and the current lack of AC made sleeping difficult especially with the large noisy room fan provided. However I understand that AC is due to be installed shortly so I wouldnt hesitate in staying at the hotel again if work...

“the Barge is a pub with accomodation in a very good location, about 10 minutes walk from the town centre. Although the staff are welcoming and the room was clean, the overall appearance of the pub is that it is shabby and run down. The carpet on the staircase leading to the bedrooms was grubby and had a large hole in it. outside the garden furniture has seen better days and there is a canopy which has come adrift from its fixings and been lashed to the outside bar. “Very nice hotel which is conveniently located about 7 miles south of Bristol. We stayed in a lovely triple room and there really was ample space for us which is a real bonus as it's not always the case. Plenty of free parking onsite which is also a plus and was one of the reasons for choosing the hotel as most Bristol hotels do not have this. There was a breakfast hamper provided which was handy if a little bit basic. The staff were very friendly and helpful.”
