Welcome to Cabin 4 at Piedra River Outpost—a comfortable, family-friendly mountain retreat located in the San Juan Mountains just outside Pagosa Springs. While the cabin does not have a direct view of the Piedra River, guests enjoy shared river access, nearby forest trails, and seasonal guided horseback rides departing directly from the property.



Conveniently located just off U.S. Highway 160 on a quiet gravel Forest Service road, the Outpost offers an authentic Colorado mountain experience where fresh air, wildlife, and peaceful surroundings take the place of busy resorts.



Like many mountain cabins in Colorado, Cabin 4 does not have air conditioning, but cool summer evenings, operable windows, and in-room fans help keep the space comfortable throughout the summer. Ideal for families, friends, or larger groups booking alongside Cabin 3 while maintaining their own private space.



Designed for comfort, simplicity, and connection to the outdoors, Cabin 4 features two bedrooms and two full bathrooms, providing plenty of space for families, friends, or small groups traveling together.

The primary bedroom features a king-sized bed, while the second bedroom includes two queen beds, comfortably accommodating up to six guests. Inside, warm wood-paneled walls and rustic mountain character create a cozy atmosphere that feels authentic to the surrounding landscape.

The fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to prepare meals before a day on the river, exploring nearby trails, or heading out on horseback. After a day of adventure, gather around the table, relax indoors, or enjoy the peaceful mountain setting outside.

Cabin 4 offers a small patio that backs up to the woods with outdoor seating and a grill—a comfortable place to relax between adventures.
