“This was a beautiful property on 13 acres with orchards and a lovely courtyard. The room was extremely spacious and meticulously decorated and cleaned. The bathroom was spacious and featured a fabulous shower (Room 3). Sue was a gracious host and prepared a delicious made to order breakfast in a beautiful dining area. Conveniently located to the town of Thirsk which has a James Harriet (All Creatures Great and Small) museum. Well-worth a visit with shopping and parking. 5-stars!”

“Great place to stay, only there for one night but will be back for longer next time. Room was lovely, bed was very comfortable and the large shower room was an added bonus. Located in the centre of Ripon so access to shops, bars and restaurants was easy and with the added bonus of on site parking. The food in the restaurant was excellent, a real taste of Italy. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming.”

“Ideally placed in the centre of Knaresborough, we were welcomed warmly. The room was lovely with a generous bathroom attached. Plenty of teabags, coffee and hot chocolate sachets and fresh milk was kept in a small fridge. The chocolate was a nice touch alongside the complementary biscuits. It was very quiet and the breakfast was delicious. We will certainly visit again. ”

“If you would like to experience living in a 400 year old cottage, with many original features, surrounded by so much beauty and peacefulness, then this is the place for you! “This is a lovely quaint, quiet country inn/accomodation, which is on its way to be something special. The welcome, cust service and food were top notch. "Had to cancel our trip due to a medical emergency and flight cancellation. Contacted all hotels we had booked—five refunded us without issue. Even Ryanair did. Cairn Hotel was the only one that flat-out refused, no empathy, no flexibility, not even a partial credit. I explained everything, even pleaded—but they just hid behind their “policy.” I could’ve paid more for the flexible rate, but budget was tight. Shame, because we were really looking forward to staying. Very disappointing experience."
