“This is an excellent, value for money hotel with friendly staff and good food, in a pleasant location. Will definitely stay again. The staff went above and beyond expectation and it had a really good old fashioned feel about it.”
“Quirkily excellent. On arrival it is not obviously a hotel since it says it is a retreat for ex services. But they do operate as an hotel, so that is the first step. Then you find it to be full of memorabilia for all branches of the service, good breakfast though not till 8am, no evening meals, but short walks bring you to good food.”

“Fantastic stay in the Hatfield Lodge Room 2 was great, spacious, quiet, clean. The shower room was lovely large, i feel it maybe a cleaning product used but it seem to leave the floor very slippery and the shower could do with some anti slip texturing on the tray and a handrail for safety. Only down side needs plugs next to the bed. Apart from those points would happily stay again. ”
“Absolutely lovely place, Very modern styling, Comfy bedding, Big shower and all round very nice, Unfortunately though, When it came to the bathroom, We found the toliet seat wasn't even bolted on properly in Room 1, It kepts sliding bout when lifting the seat. Was little annoying, and the only other thing that would make it Absolutely the best is a mini fridge to be able to keep food and drinks cold. Other than that, It was absolutely lovely 8.5/10”
