Bright, airy, beautiful!
My daughter and I just completed a five-day stay at the Honey Hive, and we really liked it. Here’s a quick list of what we thought were the pros and cons: Pros: -Great location. Walking distance to the downtown, the bike trails, and Crystal Bridges museum. -Comfy bed! -Nice interior design. The space is thoughtfully laid out and decorated. It was really nice to just be in the studio in between outings. -Working TV with easy to navigate controls.-Strong AC.Cons:-No bike storage. Your only option is to lock them to the railing outside or try to lug them up some very steep stairs with sharp turns. We rented ebikes, so that wasn't an option--they were way too heavy. Instead we left them outside with a cable lock and prayed they wouldn't be stolen. We got lucky and they weren't, but keep this in mind if you're a cyclist. -Bright mornings. I can see that the owner installed what look like pretty heavy curtains to try to block the light, but they're not blackout blinds, and wow is it bright there in the morning. Bring a sleep mask if you like a dark space. -Noisy, uncomfortable pull-out bed. My daughter slept on the pull-out, and if she moved even a muscle, it made a big creaking sound. Overall we really liked it in spite of these issues. I'd say if there are two of you, no bikes, and you bring a sleep mask, you're going to find it perfect.
