“My partner and me stayed during the first horrible heatwave in June, to get some respite in the AC that was featured in the amenities of the property. Not only was there AC in the room, but also in the pub/restaurant area! It was absolutely delightful - we struggled leaving! The staff were so friendly and attentive; nothing was too much trouble. “Lovely setting, great welcome, food superb, staff friendly and helpful We had the suite (kingfisher) which was an excellent room except for a radiator being stuck on in the bathroom. The lady in charge (lovely lass) managed to get it sorted as the outside temp was up in the 30’s!!! If I have any criticism of the room, a little use of bleach would have gone a long way but please don’t let that put you off. The place is very very good. “The room we stayed in needs a good clean and renovating. It was dirty in many places and you could see daylight around the edge of the door. Outside our room was someone’s drawers with their personal belongings in. They’d been there most of the day. We got woken up really early with staff chatting outside. All round not a very good stay at all. Great location though.”
