Prima notte dopo arrivo in serata , ottima posizione per vicinanza aeroporto (15 min.) , facile da trovare ( con mappe) e gentilezza del proprietario.

No overnight staff. Totally shuts down by 10 pm. Had to call Winthrop police to get a blanket. Absurd.

Peter with all due respect you might have been one of the most difficult customers in our 40 years of hotel service. We had already given you extra blankets and when you came down at midnight and saw nobody here to give you your 5th blanket (when the room was 72 degrees) you were upset. We always go above and beyond to take care of our customers but you took full advantage of our hard working staff and I will not allow this type of false review be posted without bringing the truth into light. I pray for future properties who might have to accomodate you

Rooms are outdated. The wallpaper was peeling off the wall. For the price of room… not okay. Saw a rat walking from parking lot to hotel 😬

Very unique property! Restaurant Very local and fabulous! Check in with hostess for both restaurant and rooms. Room very spacious, clean, well appointed. Quite a unique experience!

Nice independent hotel near the airport.
The room was spacious enough and very clean. Regarding the bathroom, We would have preferred a walking shower rather than a bath. We were surprised to find no lift to the rooms. The check out experience was inconvenient as there was no one in the facilities. At our time of stay there was some resurfacing works in the surrounding streets. Even though it was something external to the hotel, it would have been helpful having some information about the closures for traffic in the morning at check in. Instead we had to check the signs ourselves in the dark after a long flight. Overall, it was a charming wee independent hotel and we would stay again

Overall, this is a great place. Pretty and a nice location and view of the bay. We ate at the restaurant and it was delicious. We did have some problems but I think they were mostly just a one time issue. The fire alarm was tripped around 6:45 am. We all stumbled out in our pjs. 3 fire trucks arrived. It was not a fire. We went back inside and tried to rest longer. But the issue had tripped the hot water tank. So, we had ice cold showers. The front desk was not manned and we couldn’t get anyone to tell us anything. I left a note on the front desk and someone came up from downstairs. He was polite and apologetic. I would stay here again.

The hotel is a 1/2 block from the ocean and in a beautiful neighborhood. They have a small parking area that actually faces the ocean. Our room and bathroom looked recently updated. The bed was older, but not bad. The hotel restaurant was great, delicious food and reasonable prices. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were able to park in the small lot, but some people had to park on the street. It is a quiet neighborhood so probably not a big deal. We enjoyed our stay.

Charming place in a charming community
Winthrop Arms is a great place to stay is a really charming location. The staff was helpful with us having a really late checkin because of a delayed flight…everything worked out well.

Parking was awkward and there was no elevator. Was difficult to get around the area in the dark if you’re not familiar with it. The rooms are nice and large but are under renovation so the price was steep for that.

I liked the old feel of the place. Not a modern cookie cutter place. It is out of the way for those on foot. Good restaurant downstairs.

The room was rundown and odd. The towels were thin and threadbare. There was no bar soap in the room and a half broken towel rack in the bathroom. The view out the window was the air conditioning unit; this at a sea-side inn during the off-season

Excellent stay for a quick drive to Boston Login Airport. An Elevator would have been nice but the staff offered to carry our bags. Great restaurant though! Staff friendly and accommodating. Only street parking nearby, but there’s a very small parking lot a block away.

We asked on our arrival for a taxi service next day at 6 a.m to airport - but the hotel employee declined - i Have to call the Taxi by myself...we are from Europe and have to pay extra roaming for any calls.. For me its a lousy service and we paid here in addition the highest room rate during our 9 days trip in Maine

Disappointing
This was a disappointing experience. When we arrived there was construction on the street and no where to park. She apologized but offered no assistance. It was raining and we had to carry bags over torn up sidewalk & mud and then through restaurant and up stairs. I didn't see any staff again ever. We checked out at 8 am and there was no one around so we left front door key on the desk. No wash clothes in the room. Just very disappointed

This is a really cute hotel in outskirts of Boston. Getting there from out of state is a task. Traffic is horrendous. Parking at the hotel was really good until the night before our exit. We had to request help from the valet. The parking area is close enough, but was being pressure washed the 2nd day we were there, they got mud all over my freshly washed car, we were headed to a wedding. The room was surface clean, but could use a once a month of dusting and cleaning the blinds. Our sink was clogged, and wouldn’t go down easily. There’s construction on the 3rd floor, it was noisy at 8am. I understand progress, but let me as a consumer choose if I want to be up on my day off at 8. There were only 2 light bulbs in the bathroom vanity, easy fus fix. I read that in another person’s review- assumed that would have been addressed. Maybe we were in different rooms. No wash cloths the first day, and no one in sight until the restaurant opens. We had a nice dinner in the hotel restaurant. The clam chowder was really delicious and our server was nice. The area is really nice and you can walk the paved path along the ocean. If you appreciate the ocean you can find some nice shells along the rocky beach. The ocean smell In Massachusetts is different than that of the south. Much stronger. Overall, our stay went well, the hotel was pretty, and not near Logan’s immediate congestion once you get there. It’s about an hour and ten minutes from Kittery, Maine. It was a beautiful drive

BEWARE- UNDER LOUD CONSTRUCTION
My stay at Winthrop Arms Hotel started off well, but unfortunately, it took a turn for the worse. The construction noise that began early in the morning, around 7:30-8AM, disturbed my sleep and significantly impacted my overall experience. Despite my efforts to seek compensation, both Hotels.com and the hotel itself failed to provide any resolution or refund. Moreover, the manager I spoke with was aggressive, calling me a liar and blaming me for not being aware of the ongoing construction despite no prior notice given. I cannot recommend Winthrop Arms Hotel due to the disruptive construction and the unprofessional behavior of its management. In summary, my stay at Winthrop Arms Hotel was initially pleasant, but it quickly turned sour. The early morning construction noise disturbed my sleep, and despite my attempts to resolve the issue and receive compensation, both Hotels.com and the hotel were unresponsive. The manager I spoke with was confrontational, accusing me of being ignorant and blaming me for the inconvenience. Considering the disruptive construction and the unprofessional attitude of the hotel's management, I highly advise against choosing Winthrop Arms Hotel for your stay.

We would not have booked this property had we known that this floor was under re-model. The third floor was a construction zone. The room was in poor condition, stained carpet, broken window shades. A used toothbrush left in the cabinet by a previous guest.

Located in a quiet little suburb of Boston this hotel has old world charm. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The room and view of the ocean was gorgeous. The beds were a dream and I slept better than any hotel mattress ever. There is limited dining options in Winthrop but the hotel itself has a restaurant and bar on the first floor. It was also located close to a lovely breakfast cafe. The bus line was easy to access and takes you right to the blue line. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

This charming hotel was located just out of the city in a residential neighborhood facing the ocean (rooms with views). It gave us an opportunity to enjoy the sites of Boston with all the noise and people but then return to a quiet retreat. As a walker, I did not find the 1.3 walk to the T station an issue. The area is very safe with great views of the ocean along the way. We enjoyed an excellent meal in the hotel dining room while sitting outside on the deck. I wish I had found this gem of a hotel earlier in Boston travels.
