The space
Nestled into the foot of the Mendip Hills, Blue Cedar House is a stunning property, ideal for family and friends looking to unwind in style. Boasting a hard asphalt tennis court, heated outdoor swimming pool (heated May to September), and hot tub, this luxury Somerset home offers high end facilities for guests looking for a truly memorable stay.

Guests arrive through large electric gates and park in the hidden parking area, large enough to accommodate 5 cars. Access to the property is through the expansive, mature parkland gardens and past the running brook. Please note: the brook is not covered so not suitable for young children.

Bifold doors off the decking lead to the stunning open plan kitchen which has a separate seating area with leather corner sofa, wood burning stove, and flat screen TV. Fully equipped with, a large NEFF induction hob, two NEFF ovens, large fridge freezer, steam oven, microwave, dishwasher, bean to cup coffee machine and an additional family table, the kitchen is a perfect place for meal preparation or informal dining. Through the inner hallway is the dining area, seating up to 15 people, with floor to ceiling windows to bring the outside in. Continuing through, guests will love the elegant drawing room with its large log burning stove, 65 inch 4K Oled TV and surround sound system, vaulted ceiling with oak beams, Barcelona chairs and sumptuous leather sofas, with glass sliding doors out onto the front terrace and views over the expansive gardens and up to the wooded valley. This is a delightful place to come together for pre-supper drinks, watch a film, or to relax by the fire.

For family groups, Blue Cedar House has two additional living rooms with large flat screen TVs, and a snug with fireplace so plenty of space to spread out.

There are five ensuite bedrooms, The master bedroom has a super king size bed and walk out Juliette balcony overlooking the garden. Four further bedrooms have super king or king size beds, two of which can be made into twin beds. Egyptian cotton sheets, fluffy white towels, hairdryers and shampoo/body wash are just a few things to make guests feel truly at home.

Outside, guests can explore the exquisite walled gardens which houses the tennis court, outdoor heated swimming pool, ping pong table, hot tub and summer house with kitchen/cooking area and sauna and shower. Seating for 10, outdoor cooking area, BBQ , pizza oven, paella pan and burner, and a spectacular outdoor fireplace in a covered loggia make this the perfect outdoor entertainment area and for a drink or supper whilst watching the sun go down.

The kitchen garden is planted with, vegetables, fruit bushes and trees, and flowers, depending upon the season. So please help yourself to produce and cut flowers for the house, from here to enjoy during your stay

You can relax in the Amdega conservatory in the garden complete with yoga mats, blocks and straps etc for peaceful relaxation and meditation. Or, enjoy a game of Croquet on the lawn.

Exploring the area from Blue Cedar House is easy. Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty guests can access some of the best walking and mountain biking trails on offer literally from the doorstep. There are 3 excellent local pubs, perfect for lunch, within a 45 60 minute walking distance hillside walk. and a A 9 and 18 hole golf club open to non members, with floodlit driving range, is less than 4 miles away. By car is a short drive to the nearby towns of Bristol, Weston Super, Mare, Wells, and slightly further to Bath. For the adventurous, Mendip Activity Centre nearby offers everything from skiing, tobogganning, horse riding, clay pigeon shooting and even axe throwing classes!

There is high speed WIFI throughout the property, including in the summer house, with a 250Mb+ 200mb+ download speed. There are blue tooth Denon music systems in the kitchen and dining room.

Depending on the level of service you require, Blue Cedar House has a concierge service, where everything you need can be taken care of, from catering to massages, from firepits to arranging food deliveries.
