“CALl IT WHAT IT IS If you are an AT hiker looking for a place to sleep close to the trail, in the dry, this is a good option. The bed was clean, had a refrigerator and ceiling fan, but no coffee pot. The bathroom and shower are communal so be aware there is not a bathroom in each “cabin,” nor can you lock your door from the inside. Thus “resort” is misleading. I am not sure why they chose to include “resort” in naming this place. It is very clearly a nice rustic campground with four hostel...

“I loved the property it was both classy and had ritz. Surprisingly the hotel was built in 2002 but presents as a hotel built in the early 1900’s. The staff was excellent and courteous. There was a library in which to sit and relax or have a bourbon. Would highly recommend and will return.”

“My room had bedbugs and the only thing they did was switch us rooms! My daughter had bites all over her. No "I'm sorry" nothing just here's another room!”

“Dirtiest room that I have ever stayed in. Checked in and the room was full of knats, and the next morning I killed a roach. Was supposed to stay another night, but had them give a refund for second night, just couldn't stay there.”

“The entire property seems to be under construction and the rooms are under-cleaned. They did not have the room available that I booked, but offered me another—no problem. But in that room the AC was not working and it had a terrible moldy smell. The third room offered was not great either, but good enough to stay for the night. I will say the staff was considerate and helpful. A bright spot in what was otherwise a dismal stay.”
