“You get what you pay for. I did not expect the resort to be in such disrepair and to be so noisy. The traffic from the highway is constant and you hear every plane take off. The on site secure parking is very tight and it is difficult to manoeuvre a big vehicle around. Next time I will do more research and pay more money for a more comfortable and quiet location.”

“Staff was friendly and got our key from the lock box since we showed up after hours. On-site free parking, room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The heater didn't work but there is a portable heater in the closet to use. Priced reasonable. Plenty to a shop and eat around the hotel. Nice pool. We would stay here again”

“We stayed here with our work crew and booked 5 rooms. The motel is in a nice and quiet location. The rooms are clean and tidy. The staff are great and take pride in the motel, which really shows. All our guys were very pleased - so it's definitely a motel I'd highly recommend. When we're in Mackay next we'll be back to Shakespeare Motel for sure. ”
