“Super quiet location, rooms were beautifully done and recently refurbished. Very much liked the underfloor heating in the bathroom and super comfy bed. The communal area and restaurant were closed when we visited but there is a fab deli, 2 mins up road and linked to wider Castle Ashby estate. Overall a gem of a hotel and ideal for quiet break to relax and refresh. ”

“All very good except for Saturday night when there was live entertainment below us, not informed of this. Staff offered another room but didn’t want to change as it was late and we were tired. Breakfast served by a lovely lady so friendly. Room very good. Staff great . Thank you ”

“Dormire nella storia...in un hotel che è li da 500 anni ! Scelto quasi per caso dovendo spezzare tra il Galles e l'aereoporto di Stansed è stata una piacevolissima sorpresa. Situato proprio nel centro di una graziosissima cittadina la location è calda ed accogliente. Stanze curate accessoriate e pulite. Ha anche un pub/ristorante curato e dai prezzi accessibili. Se poi si preferisce uscire, attorno si trova di tutto in pochi metri. Un plauso anche alla colazione, ricca e variegata”

“Stayed here many times and the room is always spotless and has all the usual amenities, fridge, safe, fan, hair dryer, electric wall heater, tea and coffee tray. Always comfortable. Staff very friendly.”
