A comfortable and convenient base to explore the area
Overall we had a really positive experience. The location is excellent, just a short walk to the town centre and supermarkets.The area is generally quiet, aside from traffic noise during the morning commute, but this was only an issue in the front bedrooms. Check-in was smooth, there was good communication with the host beforehand and thoughtful touches like a welcome gift plus milk and biscuits were much appreciated.The property was clean, there was a good supply of towels and basic toiletries were provided in the bathroom. The kitchen had store cupboard basics and was well-equipped for preparing meals. There were information leaflets for local attractions to help plan days out. The beds were very comfy and there was adequate drawer storage.However, there were a few drawbacks. The kitchen had an awkward layout and we had trouble reaching one of the cupboards. The WiFi was intermittent and the overall signal strength poor. Using the hand-held shower was an ordeal, being very tricky to manage especially when hairwashing, and we also had problems flushing the toilet which also took a long time to refill. There were hooks on the bedroom doors but no wardrobes, so nowhere to hang up clothes. The bunk bed room also lacked a bedside lamp which would have been useful.Despite these few issues, the positives far outway the negatives and we'd both recommend the place and return for another visit.
