Step into comfort in this inviting apartment in Barton. Enjoy modern living with a bright open-plan layout and private balcony. Located in the heart of the parliamentary triangle, you’re just steps from cafes, restaurants, parks, and key city spots—perfect for both work and relaxation.

You can access all the property's amenities throughout your stay. Please read our listing thoroughly to find answers to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).

BEDROOM:
Both bedrooms feature a comfortable queen-sized bed with freshly laundered and pressed linens, ensuring a peaceful and restful night's sleep. Additionally, the spacious wardrobes and luggage storage in both rooms provide ample space for you to store your belongings.

BATHROOM:
The bathrooms have a shower and toilet. We provide bath towels, shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper and body wash. You will need to re-stock depending on usage frequency and length of stay. A hairdryer is provided for your use.

KITCHEN:
You can use the kitchen if you're craving a home-cooked meal. While you stay you will have access to the following:
- fridge/freezer
- stovetop
- microwave
- oven
- crockery and cutlery
- dishwasher

We stock a simple selection of food for breakfast such as muesli, milk, coffee and tea. Guests will need to purchase food items for longer stays.

LIVING ROOM:
In the living room, you'll find a 40" smart TV for your enjoyment. It has access to local channels as well. Please note that while free-to-air TV is available, we do not provide subscriptions to streaming platforms like Netflix or YouTube. TV has access to all local channels.

LAUNDRY AREA:
A washer and dryer are available to use, as well as an iron and ironing board.

PARKING:
If you have a car, the residential garage can accommodate two vehicle. Alternatively, paid parking is available at the 44 Macquarie Street parking lot for $3 per hour.

COMMON AREAS & AMENITIES:
During your stay, you'll have access to the building's BBQ area, common garden, courtyard, and rooftop.

The common areas are managed by the building management and can be closed without prior notice to owners. We try our best to get the most accurate information to update the listing description as much as we can. In this regard, please check for building announcements at the time of your arrival to confirm availability of common areas.

Check in information will be sent two days before your check in date and any codes will be sent four hours before your arrival, to prevent fraudulent bookings.

There is a key safe for self-check-in. Only 1 guest key set is provided. Please take care not to lose the keys as their replacement will incur a fee.

I am available mostly through Airbnb messaging but I give privacy to my guests. If there is an urgent issue, you can always call me.

I have been living in Canberra for quite some time now and can help you navigate your way around the local area if you need me. I can also provide you with tips on the best places to go for food or just to have fun!

You're right in the heart of Barton - a historic and highly regarded suburb that's conveniently located near many of the city's top attractions, including the Parliamentary Triangle, Kingston Foreshore, and various cultural institutions. Plus, you'll find plenty of government departments, restaurants, and cafes within walking distance, so you won't even need to worry about driving.

Speaking of restaurants, there are a few great places to eat in the area. Morks Restaurant is a standout option that offers excellent food at reasonable prices, with friendly and attentive staff. If you're in the mood for something a bit more upscale, Vincent Restaurant is a fantastic choice for fine dining. The atmosphere is cozy and the service is impeccable, with truly divine dishes that will delight your senses. And if you just want to kick back with some friends and enjoy a drink, The Dock is a fun and relaxed spot that's definitely worth a visit.

Getting around Barton is quite easy. With the apartment located at the heart of the suburb, there are numerous options for transportation available. You can use public transport such as buses, trains, taxis or even Uber, which is my personal preference. If you're planning to use the bus, I highly recommend downloading the Moovit App. It provides real-time schedules and step-by-step directions for Bus or Light Rail routes that pass through Barton Bus Stn Plt 2. This will help you get to your destination quickly and efficiently.

Any violation of our no-party rule will result in a $2000 non-negotiable penalty, in addition to any damages.
1. Please let us know if you need to check in early or leave later than the standard times. We will charge $110 for each hour of non-scheduled delay to check out after 10 am.

2. I have a STRICT "No Pets Policy" except for service or emotional support animals and "No Smoking Policy". These are applicable inside and outside of the property. Any breach will result in a fine of $400 plus any additional fees for specialised cleaning.

3. The cleaning fee covers the general cleaning and replacement of quality linen in the property. Please try to leave the place as tidy as possible. If the property is extra messy when you leave, an extra cleaning fee will be charged (minimum of $50).

4. Please be sure you understand our cancellation policies. You can find our current policy via your booking channel.

5. Only those persons who made the reservation may stay at our property. If you're a business or government agency booking for other people, please contact us in advance to ensure access details are made clear.

6. No parties or gatherings of more than the maximum number of booked guests are permitted. All non-guests must leave the home by 10:00 pm. No loud noises or music are permitted after 10:00 pm. There is a $2000 penalty for breaching this rule.

7. Some consumable items have been left for you in the kitchen (tea, coffee, sugar, milk), that you are most welcome to use. Also, the pantry has a few basics - no need to ask, just help yourself. We don't stock the refrigerator or provide any meals.

8. The property is not child-proofed and we don't have specific amenities for infants (i.e. high chair, cot). However, children under adult supervision are permitted.

Great Location

Apartment suited our needs perfectly and was in the perfect spot for tourists. Close to attractions and restaurants. Very quiet building with adequate parking. Our only complaint would be that the carpet could do with a really good shampoo. Rather grubby and our book in instructions weren’t correct.

Cozy and Conveniently Located

The accomodation was situated in a very convenient area with many attractions within a few minutes drive. The apartment itself was also lovely, with comfortable beds, clean bathrooms and well functioning kitchen, a simple and cozy area with just the right amount of amenities.

Canberra stay

The property was clean, comfortable, great position to parliament house, local shops, the lake and galleries, and well equiped with cooking utensils, laundry and cleaning equipment, additional blankets and secure off street parking. Some difficulty with communication by the app. App was difficult to access. Once communication was established, responses were prompt and queries/requests dealt with efficiently and were accomodating to our needs.

Barton stay

A very good unit, very close to parliament house and near a good little market. Just a difficult check in if your in a late flight in the dark - could do with some better lighting. Otherwise great.
