Great Townhome

This two story apartment was great for us, since we were in the area working all day during our stay. It was merely a place to sleep... but I think it's worth noting that the pictures make the place look a lot newer/cleaner than it actually is. It looks a bit more weathered than the photos, from water stains and such from being a few years older. The "master" shower pressure was dismal, so we all used the downstairs shower. The hot water didn't last long, so take quick showers! This is all normal to Mexico, though... so nothing different than anywhere else.The AC works great and the property owner was fantastic to deal with... and the neighborhood felt safe since it's gated. It is worth noting that the neighborhood location is ACROSS the highway (west) from downtown Puerto Morelos, which is the beach side of the highway. This home is about a 5-7 min drive to the town square, where the restaurants and beach attractions all are!Overall, it is a great spot for the price and mostly as expected!

Location inaccurate on VRBO

As a previous reviewer mentioned, the location of the pin on VRBO for this place is not accurate. It shows as in the village of Puerto Morelos near the beach, but it's west on the other side of the highway in a condo community.Other than that, it is a nice little place that comfortably sleeps 6 (not 8) people. The 4th "bedroom" is a laundry room with a futon that we struggled to get open properly and was very uncomfortable.If you have a group of 6 or fewer and are fine being a 10-15 minute drive from town/beach, then this place is a decent value. It's clean and bright and steps from the pool.

A 10 minute drive to the beach

The house was nice, it worked for our needs. The location is actually 1 mile / 2 km to the west of Highway 307. And about 3 miles / 5-6 km from the sea. A car is a requirement. The GPS could not find the property and we had to ask a lot of people to direct us. The location of the house on the booking map is about 6 km to the west of the actual location. The neighborhood is Palma Grand, it was quiet and secure with 24 hour gate guard. And Nice neighbors from Chicago, IL. The kitchen is missing an assortment of small and sharp cutting knives, no cutting board, the teflon pans are all old and very scratched and peeling ( i do not want to eat peeling teflon ). One air conditioner in one bedroom is broken, There were not any instructions about where the community trash cans are, about having a plastic resident card in the car, or about taking a small yellow cone with the house number on it to the pool.

Palma Grande

We had a two week stay at Palma Grande. We found the accommodations very clean. The person we were dealing with (Moises) was always very prompt in his replies to any concerns we had as a group. I would recommend this property to others. Short cab rides to the beach and also short cab rides to the grocery store as well as local restaurants. We had a great time staying there.

Great place to stay in a cozy neighborhood.

When we arrived we were greeted at the gate and it was swift to get settled in the complex. The condo had everything we needed and we were happy with what was provided. The listing does make it look a bit bigger than it was but we were there to enjoy the community and the area and really only needed a place to eat, sleep and shower. The AC was in each room and I slept well on the beds. The backyard was full if cute little lizards and a nice hammock for reading in. Moises was very helpful with any questions we had and even connected us to his friend Danny if we had any further questions.

Beautiful house

This house has nothing to complain about. I’m not a picky person but I can really say that this house exceeded my expectations. The house is exactly as the pictures. Important things that matter to us were great; air conditioning in each room was great. Beds were nice and firm and the 3 bathrooms were very good for a group of 7 people. I loved the close community and felt very safe. I did not know I could not park on the street. Since I was driving a 16 passenger van it was easier to park on the street. The guards made me aware of it immediately. Can’t complain about following rules, that’s how nice places stay nice. The host and his property manager were always available. We will definitely rebook this property Esta casa no tiene ningúna queja. No soy una persona quisquillosa pero puedo decir honestamente que esta casa superó mis expectativas. La casa está exactamente como se ven las fotos. Los detalles que nos importan futón excelentes; el aire acondicionado en cada cuarto funcionan muy bien, las camas estaban firmes y los 3 bańos fueron muy útiles para un grupo de 7 personas. Me encanto la comunidad cerrada, nos sentimos muy seguros. No sabía que no se podía estacionar en la calle. Estaba manejando una camioneta de 16 pasajeros, se me hacía más fácil estacionarla enfrente de la casa. Los guardias me lo comunicaron inmediatamente. No me quejo que las reglas fueron ejercidas. Así es como lo lugares bonitos permanecen bonitos. El anfitrión de la propiedad siempre estuvo al pendiente con excelente comunicación. En definitiva nos quedaremos en esta propiedad en el futuro.

Overall thoughts

Our entire experience in renting this property was in a Word - terrific! The simplicity of dealing with vrbo was great and the ability to speak with the property owner at any time enhanced our confidence in renting. When we arrived we were impressed that everything shared on the vrbo site and everything shared by the owner was complete, accurate, and true. The location is great; a very secure and well managed security system, beginning with the personnel in the security hut, and extending to their courteous nature as they walked about the area throughout the day and evening. The location is very satisfactory; again in a very secure location and we always felt comfortable walking from the house to the centre of the city, and on the buses to the town square at the beach side; Puerto Morelos is a very friendly place to vacation; the people are wonderful. Also easy to get to Playa to have some different experiences; we did not drive anywhere - we took colectivos and cabs; and rarely cabs; we found this robe a great way to interact with the local people. We had a minor situation to resolve while there, and a call to the property owner was returned within minutes and the situation resolved within a few minutes after that. The property owner, Moises, has wonderful customer service skills and attitude. Staying at this property was very satisfying for us and in our 3 weeks there we have only positive things to say about it, the owner, the support people, security, and the location. We recommend this property to families, empty nesters, anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing vacation.

A lovely house

The house is luxury and very well decorated. The swimmingpool is nearby and often are there no other guests. It is a safe neigbourhoud. And when you have a question at the property manager he answered directly. So it is a house where you will have a super holiday. We come back!
