Nestled in the charming village of Vorno, just a few kilometres from the medieval city of Lucca, Villa Il Colosso is a splendid 17th-century residence that has been lovingly restored to combine historic grandeur with modern luxury. Surrounded by a sweeping park, the villa offers guests a timeless Tuscan experience. With a private pool, this elegant villa is the perfect base for exploring Tuscany’s treasures, from Florence and Pisa to Siena and Chianti area.

Spanning 600 sqm across three floors, Villa Il Colosso retains the noble character of its 17th-century origins, while offering modern amenities.

GROUND FLOOR:
A rustic Tuscan kitchen, equipped for cooking classes or family meals, sits alongside a spacious dining room (seating 12–14), a guest powder room, and laundry facilities.

FIRST FLOOR:
This stately level features a large formal living room, a refined office/study, and three bedroom suites, each with a king-size bed and marble bathroom (two with bathtub and separate shower, one with shower only).

SECOND FLOOR:
Here you’ll find a relaxed TV lounge with wide-screen satellite TV and DVD, a library, and three more bedrooms: two elegant suites with king-size beds and marble bathrooms (bathtub + shower), plus a twin room with its own marble bathroom (bathtub + shower).

In total, the villa sleeps 12 guests across six bedrooms, all with ensuite marble bathrooms and individually controlled air conditioning.

OUTDOOR:
The estate is reached via a cypress-lined avenue and enclosed by stone walls, creating a private oasis of greenery and charm. The private swimming pool (opening dates May 2 to September 12 depending on the weather) is surrounded by lawns, ancient trees, and a solarium with sun loungers, perfect for long afternoons under the Tuscan sun. A romantic pergola, entwined with bougainvillea, overlooks the hills and offers an idyllic spot for dining or relaxing with a glass of local wine. The extensive gardens provide shaded corners, aromatic plants, and a truly tranquil setting.
