“The staff were lovely with nothing too much trouble. The food was superb in an amazing dining room with proper tablecloths and napkins !
This is a wonderful 800 year old castle with no lift so, if you have walking difficulties, ask for a room on the first floor.
The public rooms are magnificent but the bedrooms, while perfectly comfortable, would benefit from being brought up to date.
Anyway, all in all a thoroughly enjoyable stay and we shall be sure to return. ”

“A little difficult to find perhaps but once there it is lovely. We arrived in the dark so it was great to wake up, open the curtains and look at the view across the fields. Breakfast (full english) was superb.”
