“I would never stay here again. It’s beautiful yet totally impractical for guests. There is a “no shoes allowed” policy meaning I slipped as I carried my bags up multiple flights of stairs in socks, no air conditioning & no actual shower (just a large bath with hand-held shower handle). I think the owners have severely misjudged what the average guest wants. I paid about the same the week before nearby at the Premier Inn for all the amenities I wanted in a better location. I’ll be staying there...

“Nice pub, with good honest food. Rooms are basic, but comfortable and they worked well for us for 2 nights.”

“We would have rated the Castle excellent if we had slept better, but having a room on the busy main road made that difficult…we could imagine that another back room was much quieter. But the atmosphere was nice and both dinner and breakfast freshly cooked and well-presented were all enjoyable.”

“Lovely hotel within walking distance of Brandshatch circuit. A big shout out to Sam who decorated the room for my partners birthday. Also thank you to the staff for upgrading us. We had an enjoyable stay and will be returning on our next visit to Brandshatch Circuit.”

“Breakfast excellent but the meat at theSunday carvery wasn't covered by staff all the time and consequently blue bottle flies were walking over the roast beef which put you off. When said about it to the staff member she just smiled and gave a little laugh. Not the most suitable answer. Otherwise the stay was very good.”
