“Very nice place to stay! 100% recommendable to traveleres with family, especially with a dog! Mike and Carrie are quite experts providing useful tips about where to go and what to do in Snowdonia. Cold breakfast itself is very nice, but strongly recommend to have hot meals served by Mike. Nobody can help loving Penaeldroch!”

“Great short stay to access Snowdon. The accomodation was exceptionally clean and very smart. A little bit of work to do in the bedroom to tidy up the damaged walls and skirting board but otherwise faultless and I am being very picky. Great proactive contact and helpful staff with warm welcome. Excellent adoption of technology to make stay more convenient including self serve tuck shop for an early morning. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others!”

“What a fabulous place and amazing owners. Nigel and Clare are just lovely people. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The alpacas, ducks and hens make it a really interesting place to stay as well. Much easier travel into Betws, Conwy and Snowden from this side as well.”

“On site parking, managed to get a space which was good. The hotel is nice and clean. Room was small but good enough for 1 person. It had a chair and a luggage holder as well as multiple hooks on the wall + hangers which was convenient. It also had a smart TV which was good as some hotels don’t. So I was able to log into my Netflix account and watch my shows. (Remember to sign out if you do this) :) It’s close to plenty of shops and restaurants which is good as they’re within walking distance....

“Richard is very much the 'Host with the Most'. Very chatty and friendly, and knowledgeable about the area. He went above and beyond for us...Carrying our cases up to the top floor...And down again when we left. Plus he does a cracking packed lunch. Our room was more than adequate, comfy and clean. The only gripe from our point of view is that we'd prefer proper cups and spoons...”

“Hotel really nice, staff extremely helpful and friendly. Only a couple of things thst could be changed....tea spoons instead of wooden stirrers, biscuits in room, dog bed and bowl would be a nice touch too when u are staying with your pooch.”

“A parte le colazioni calde che erano ottime, le camere sono decisamente sporche, sembrava che le cameriere sistemassero solo il letto (bottiglie vuote non tolte, una farfalla é rimasta a terra morta per 3 notti, capelli non nostri in bagno….). Positivo, le colazioni calde davvero buone. Non ci tornerei più e non lo consiglio!!!!”

“We were running late and I called and told them that we were going to be later than expected and the girl was so nice she told us that it was okay they were going to wait for us, we finally got there after 11pm and they were there waiting for us, she said they were concerned because of the road and it was raining and misty, they were so nice and friendly and the gentleman helped bringing our luggage upstairs. I give them 10/10. ”
