“As a regular staying at Essentia in Dumaguete, Charos dormitel is a breath of fresh air !! Outstanding room, staff, restaurant and not so many guests (not crowded like Essentia) ! I got the room with 2 queen beds, there were 2 couples on the trip, however upon arrival we were charge, we had to pay for the other couple on the trip. stating that it was only 2 people booked, but the room could accommodate 4. “The room was clean and spacious, the Staff was fantastic in being both extremely kind and helpful. The restaurant was exceptionally good both the Breakfast and dinner entrees were excellent. I spent a few weeks at The Lighthouse and will absolutely recommend a stay. JB ”

“Hotle just in the center of the city and with malls and shops just out of the door. You have hospitals, schools, churches, market, anything around! The room is big and confortable, desk tv. The bathroom has good quality wc and hot water shower. There is a coffee shop at second floor. The reception is open 24h. Very gentle employees. I had more than expected. Really good experience. ”

“Very little seems to go toward upgrades/general maintenance. First room - part of the flooring was yellow taped and upon inspecting, the floor tile had no foundation & seemed unable to be weight bearing. I changed rooms. Second room - toilet leaked water across bathroom floor. Other minor stuff like leaking shower hose & blocked shower rose. Bathroom floor tiles old, heavily stained and showing their age. All staff were helpful and friendly. Great location as its 2 minute walk to water...
