The house is on two floors. In the attic there is a double bedroom, a full bathroom, a living room with sofa bed, a large and panoramic terrace, a full kitchen. Downstairs 2 double bedrooms with 2 full baths.The sunny & peaceful attic is top floor of Monticelli Mansion, beautifully renovated and located on hills overlooking the Mediterranean sea and surrounded by luxuriant olive & orange gardens. If you drive here, it will be easy to reach Pompeii (7km), Amalfi coast (30km), Sorrento (25km), Capri (7km+ferry). The house is in typical Italian country style, with original furniture, panoramic sea-views, a sunny terrace with dining table/lounge & outdoors shower.The host family offers cooking classes and Italian dining wine tasting,(on request).

We had a lovely stay at Monticelli Mansion. Our host/ owner Cristina, her husband Fausto, and our host /manager Cristina were warm and friendly. They were very helpful in suggesting and arranging excursions for us. Cristina(mgr) cooked us a fantastic chef dinner on our last night, she went above and beyond to make it wonderful. On the property the fruit trees (grapefruit, oranges, lemons) were all producing fruit so we had the opportunity to pick fresh fruit for breakfast each morning. The location of the property made it very easy to make daily excursions to Pompeii, Amalfi, Paestum, and many other towns in the area. Our stay was in early December which was ideal for avoiding crowds but unfortunately we were not able to take advantage of the lovely terrace on the property for a meal because of the slightly chilly weather. 40’s F - 50’sF. It has a wonderful view of the town, mountains, and sea. The hosts arranged a driver for us for an Amalfi coast tour, highly recommended!

Beautiful property & extremely helpful hosts!

Our group loved our stay at the Monticelli Mansion! We had 9 adults and the space was perfectly sized to accommodate us all. It is a gorgeous house and all of the rooms are lovely. The house was a little difficult to locate but the host provided helpful directions that made it easier. I only wish it were a little bit more central to nearby restaurants and grocery stores, but the benefit of distance means that the property has an incredible view of the surrounding area. Just note that you definitely need a car to stay here. The biggest asset is the kind hosts - from communication, to welcoming into us all into her home, to assisting us with our laundry (the machine was broken and Cristina and her husband let us use their personal machine) - Cristina and her family were nothing but welcoming and helpful. Note that they have 3 incredibly cute and friendly dogs as well, that are present around the property. While this was not an issue for our group, it may be for some guests, so it would be good to get a heads up about that fact. We were also a little nervous because it was difficult to leave the property without the dogs trying to follow, so we had to be cautious with driving and with opening the gate. Again, not a deal-breaker by any means, but it would be helpful to get help from the host on how to leave by car or by foot while keeping the dogs safe. All in all though, we had a wonderful stay and couldn’t have asked for a better place to ring in the new year!

Beautiful Property!!!

Communication with the owner was easy. A delightful hostess! The house is very large and comfortable. The decor is vintage Italian, just beautiful!! There are three separate apartments with ensuites, and alot of space to relax. The views are breathtaking!! The house was stocked with fresh fruit, eggs, coffee and tea. All kitchenware that you would need was there. A fantastic restaurant is within walking distance, grocery store and cafes are a short drive away. I would recommend this gorgeous house to anyone staying in Italy!!

Beautiful Villa just outside Sorrento

Our stay was lovely and our hosts were gracious and hospitable, offering us many suggestions for our stay. We were only in the area two days so we were very busy seeking out the sites of the local area and yet coming back to the villa felt like coming home. We had six people in our group and each couple had a gorgeous en-suite for privacy and comfort. The furniture and touches were classy and stunning. The views from around the property were gorgeous. It would be a beautiful space for an event if it was ever an option. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed for our stay to be comfortable. Check in was a breeze and we were graciously offered a refreshment and some on site fruit. Check out was also simple and our hosts were thoroughly communicative and available throughout our stay using WhatsApp. It would have been nice to stay one more night to enjoy dinner on site and simply relax. We would most certainly stay here again if we were in the area.

This property is away from all the hustle of the Naples and Pompei area but close enough to get to many attractions (Pompei, Herculaneum, Capri, Coastal area..:). It is beautifully situated and has great rooms. Cooking and eating outside is great.

A Hidden Gem

Monticelli Mansion was our last stop on a week in Italy and was a great finish to our time in Italy. Maria Cristiana and Fausto were sweet hosts and very welcoming. The property is full of orange and lemon groves, grapes, olives and many other fruits and vegetables. We were traveling with 3 teenagers and four adults and had plenty of room to spread out as well as gather together on the patio to play with the dogs or rooftop balcony to watch the sunsets. We took in Maria Cristiana’s cooking class the first night and it was such a fun and delicious experience. My kids say it was one of their highlights for sure. We will be trying to make our own pasta in the near future. We also walked down to the restaurant a short way down their road for one of our other meals. A unique location with great and reasonable priced food. The location of their property is close to Naples and Pompeii (20 min) and about an hour to Revello and the Amalfi coast. Staying here was a relaxing finish and it was nice to be away from the crowds we experienced in Rome and Italy. We hope to return some day.

Une très belle location dans une très belle région

La villa au coeur d' un luxuriant verger est vraiment très agréable, idéale pour des couples d'amis. Chaque chambre est spacieuse, décorée avec goût et possède sa salle de bain privative. De la belle terrasse la vue sur la mer et Capri est juste magnifique. Cette maison est idéalement située tant pour la visite des sites historiques que pour la découverte des villes des côtes sorentine et amalfitaine. Et Naples ne se trouve qu'à une trentaine de kilomètres... Un grand merci à Pierluigi pour son accueil, sa disponibilité et sa gentillesse. Nicole

Un excellent séjour

Nous avons été très bien accueilli par les propriétaires qui se sont rendus disponibles pour nous fournir toutes les informations nécessaires à notre séjour. La maison est agréable et bien conçue.La vue de la terrasse est superbe. De la maison nous avons pu faire de nombreuses visites sur la côte amalfitaine et dans les terres.
