“Train station being close is about the only good thing this place has to offer. You have to make it past the bar with a bunch of rowdy drunks talking trash to you just to check in. Whoever took the pictures for this place deserves a raise. The room is tiny. The mattress is old. The bathroom is gross. The carpet is gross. “Staff were friendly. Room was not nice at all. Carpets dirty and damaged. Bathroom had black mould all over the ceiling and smelt very bad. Not a great experience at all. Whole place needs a big revamp ”

“The room was dirty, with cigarette butts and ash in the drawers along with dirty takeout bits, the toilet just had cleaning fluid sprayed on top of something gross, there was no tea making facilities in the room, the food seemed to be from a van outside and the cherry on top was being kept awake at 2am by a voilent sounding drunk trying to kick doors in until the police arrived, then being greeted with ripped clothes and blood on the stairs as we left.”

“I was not able to stay in this place, they had not sent me the code to access by the check in time. As such I had to pay for alternative accommodation. Do not stay here. Hotels.com should remove this place. They gave a number to call but the phone was off. ”

“Basic but functional”

“Unfortunately the apartment wasn’t not suitable for us to stay when we arrived.The building is rundown with flickering lights and a strong smell of weed. Although the flat was cleaner and more presentable the smell of cannabis came through the vents as these were broken, including the extractor in the bathroom. There were also flickering lights in the bathroom and one of the sliding windows in the living room had a gap and doesn’t close properly, letting the cold in. The owner was responsive...

“James and Hansel were fantastic hosts, very welcoming and helpful, the property itself is in a great location and has a charming character, rooms were clean and tidy and very spacious. Communication was excellent, I would stay again and recommend ”

“Toilet seat broken, no handle on bathroom door. No towels. Stains all over walls.”

“Room was clean but very dated however for what we paid we can't really complain. Parking is free in onsite car park you just need to enter registration number at reception. We meet family for a meal, menu typical pub food but all perfectly acceptable and staff very pleasant. Walled outside seating area which was nice for having a drink as weather was warm. The hotel is on the high street so be aware that you will experience some traffic noise especially if your room is at the front. ”
