“The pod is in an amazing location but unfortunately needs a lot of work to make it worth the money! The pod is located down a driveway with no direction whatsoever, luckily a gentleman was there to show us where to go. A lot of groundwork going on which made it very dirty with uneven ground. The steps up to the pod were rotten. The toilet/shower door wouldn’t close as the hinges were bent. There isn’t much privacy in the toilet a small curtain or blind wouldn’t go a miss. “Great location for day trips to anywhere in Pembrokeshire, especially Skomer. Overlooking the marina and only 5 minutes walk from a wide selection of good cafes and restaurants, but their own food is good too! Friendly staff. Rooms are spacious and well equipped but the bed was a little hard for me (like most hotels). Not all rooms have baths but I was able to change at no extra cost. ”

“Obviously a lot of effort has been made by the new owners to create a comfortable and upgraded environment. They are working hard and constantly on what was obviously a worn down building. Looking out from the room the gardens and view is spectacular. The room was large and comfy with great, instant hot water and lovely deep bath. Authentic home cooked curry was delicious.”

“It was a surprise trip for hubby. As we pulled up to the gates, he let out a huge WOW, I did too. The lady that greeted us and showed us around was lovely. Our room, the Nest, was beautiful as was the rest of the castle. We enjoyed a fabulous breakfast and met other members of staff, they were lovely. It was like being in a fairy tale. “An excellent hideaway place as advertised, also has a cottage for hire or glamping with a local well stocked shop. Ideal location for all the beaches and attractions. The morning breakfast was superb, a mix of cereals, fruit, continental style, as well as the full welsh cooked. The room was everyone you could as for, cosy, relaxing with a lovely en-suite. I would highly recommend this hotel, though I do want to revisit, so ignore this report. Seriously a wonderful stay, and will be back. ”

“We really enjoyed our stay. The local town of Narberth is very quaint with plenty of places to eat and unique shopping. Tenby is close by and we used it as a base for a visit to Skomer Island. It seems there are load of local attractions although we only stayed for a few days so didn't get a chance to appraise these. The staff at Canaston are wonderful and the service was excellent. ”

“It was cheap - you get what you pay for. Shared bathroom and kitchen, which was expected based on price and photos, but not clear in details and another guest hadn’t assumed this and caused a big scene on check in. Wasn’t dirty, but could have been cleaner. Beds were comfy, but sheets smelt damp. Air con didn’t work in our room or another room that was empty. Free parking. Walking distance of the town centre which has takeaways. Kinda average stage. But cheapest around”
